The man smiled stepping forward. The 6'4 man had blondish brown hair. He wore torn sleeves and been keen to fighting. The man stepped up. The team could tell this guy was mid 20s but had been through some tough battles. As he stepped forward it was clear that he was bigger than Rocky and was built more.
"I like your moxy young man and you seem like you would be a good battle however gym leaders arent nomrally allowed to fight.Trainers.." He smiled

"However I can teach your pokemon a powerful move."



Once Swampert was out. The man called it over.
"Grunt..lets show these guys what you got."

Grunt smiled he powered up and took a step away from the trainers to display the move.


The bulky swampert took a powerful swing breaking up the dirt.

The man smiled.
"Good job Grunt..soldier.." he pulled out the next pokeball.

Lopunny smiled at the trainers.

The leader than held up his hand and pressed the keystone triggering the mega evolution. After the evolution he called out.
"Lets show them a powerful Mega Kick" The man said in a commanding way.

"Nido?" he asked Rocky.

"Prof, here is very strong and very clever. I would love to teach him a technique like your Pokemon used. He has an incredibly strong tail. Would your moves transfer to a tail attack?"

Professor realised that this was a training session rather than an attack and relaxed a little.

Alice admired the Pokemon's moves, but none of her team were really capable of learning punching or kicking moves. She left Rocky to it and began to wander a bit further down the path, keeping an eye out for any wild Pokemon. Paprika ran ahead, climbed a tree and jumped from branch to branch above her. Aster wandered calmly by her side, stopping to sniff different bushes as they went.

"I bet that guy eats his veggies."

The egg shook back and forth before finally a little blue pokemon poked out its head.

" Toootaaa?"

Meg's face lit up beat red. "ITS SO FRECKIN CUTE!!" She said lifting up the Totodile.
"You look like a tough guy. Im going to tall you Tidus!!"



On the other end the man walked up. Rock and Nidoking.

"Easy fella" He said bending down.

The man reached for his belt.
"Sweeps"



The shiny delphox appeared smiling at the trainers.

"Sweeps we need to teach this guy Iron Tail. If that works with you of course." He said asking both Rocky and Nidoking.

Brandon jumped into the conversation. "Your a gym leader?" He asked loudly.

The man nodded.
"Oh where are my manners. I am the commander of Bravo company of the 1st fleet in Hoenn and I run the Dewford City fighting gym. The name is Magnus." he smiled

"Now, about that move? We can teah him Aqua Tail or Iron Tail."

Brandon listened as the fighter explained he was a gym leader in Hoenn, he thought he sounded friendly enough and un suspecting, maybe it was safe to allow his pokemon to come out and practice too... Brandon reached to his belt, pulled Pidgey's pokeball off his belt, pressed the button. The bird pokemon flew out of his pokeball, within a couple seconds he landed swiftly and began to glow and transform. Brandon watched in wonder as the pokemon evolved he said "Pidgey, your evolving!"

After a few seconds the evolution was complete and Pidgetto stopped glowing. Brandon noticed Meghan's egg had hatched and said "He is cute little fellow, congrats on him" then he turned back to Pidgetto who was flexing his longer wings, he said to you "Boy do seem stronger, you seem to be a very proud pokemon, why you don't stretch your new wings?" Pidgetto gleamed at him happy and said "Pidgeee.... Pidgeeetttoo" then took off and circled the skies breaking in his new wings.

As his Pidgetto flew around trying out his new wings and form, Brandon sent out his caterpie and Nidoran train as well. "Hey Magnus! Anything you and your pokemon could teach my pals right here?" he said gesturing to his caterpie and nidoran.

After Caterpie had finished learning the move and Magnus's attention turned to Meg, Caterpie seemed to be very happy and strong, he suddenly glowed and began to transform. Brandon, Pidgetto and Nidoran watched in pleasure as the pokemon evolved.

The newly evolved Metapod rocked back and forth and pleasure, trying to test some of his new moves. Then as Meg asked if they were ready to move Brandon said "Yeah, I for one am certainly ready to move." he smiled and looked at Magnus, he had turned back to his sparing partners "Thanks for everything Magnus, maybe one day we will meet again, when we are a bit stronger".

As Brandon preparing to leave with others he decided to let Marshtomp out of his pokeball, he grabbed his pokeball off his belt and pressed the button reoease him, the water type came out shaking his tail back forth gently and looking around to get his barings, he whistled to his Pidgetto to come back and land on his shoulder so they could leave. As they walked they watched the others encounters, Alice's was by far the best as far as reactions go. As he watched on, still walking, he heard a hissing and looked down, right in front of him was an ekans, he had nearly stepped on it, it seemed ready to pounce, Marshtomp jumped into front of Brandon and protectively gave Brandon a gentle push to get him a safe distance back, out of the ekans attack range. As Brandon was pushed the ekans made its move and went in for the strike, even with the distraction of getting Brandon out of the way, Marshtomp was still too quick, he whipped his tail right in the path of the ekans, it hit his tail head on and stopped short, surprised and bewildered, the Marshtomp slammed his tail down on the ekans, not allowing it to move, as it unsuccessfuly struggled to get loose hissing, nearby Nidoran had his horn ready in case the ekan (doubtfully) got past Marshtomp, Pidgetto and Metapod also looked ready, Brandon saw the ekans wasn't going anywhere and got a empty pokeball out of his pack, he tossed it at the ekans, it tapped into it and sucked it in, Marshtomp moved his tail on top of it, so without even the slightest nudge, the ball pinged and the ekans was caught.

Rose watched as the man demonstrated some moves. Her sensing couldn't show the power of the moves as well as vision would, but she could still tell by the speed of the attacks that these Pokemon must have been strong. It made sense that this man was a gym leader. Rose giggled at Meghan's comment. "We haven't gotten a chance to talk. How are you feeling?" She asked Rose.

"I'm... Okay." Rose responded, thinking about her response for a moment. She was feeling better than earlier in the day, but that was just because she wasn't feeling much of anything anymore. She felt too drained from everything that had happened in the last 24 hours. Why couldn't things just be going smoothly like they were supposed to?

She saw the man preparing to show Rocky's Pokemon Iron tail. She didn't feel as anxious as she did before, but as she aproached them, she began to feel nervous again. "Can... C-can you show my Mankey too?" She questioned shyly.
