As the bikers took the group to Cerulean Alice chatted with JPO.
"Thanks..some of the guys have been joking about...if they go to far though..I have to put on their backs." He joked.

"It shouldnt take more than an hour to get their." He smiled


at 7 pm the team arrived at the entrance to Cerulean City. The bikers let them down giving them all a chance to say goodbye. JPO got of the bike.
"The road ahead you is tough...but if you ever need us.." JPO said giving Alice the phone number.

"Please call us...Dredd's family is our family...and we take care of our own. You should inform Misty that Rockets have unmasked such a huge number..there has to be base near by.." JPO reached over kissing Alice.

"It was a pleasure chatting with you my lady." He smiled

Meghan thanked him and shook a few hands.
"If you need us..please let us know!" She said waving goodbye.

Rocky got back on the bike with 'Sin'.

He tried to make small talk, but ended up with bugs in his teeth, so he shut his mouth and just enjoyed the ride.

As they arrived at Cerulean he saw JPO give Alice a kiss goodbye.

"Soooo... goodbye kisses huh?" he said giving his most endearing smile to 'Sin'.

"Yeah! Come here, Big fella." Sin said smiling.

Rocky leaned in and *POW* 'Sin' punched him hard in the arm.

"Dream on Big fella!" She revved her engine and rode off.

"So where is the local Pokemon Center?" Rocky asked as he regathered with the others.

Alice felt reassured by JPO's words. He was right. Max was a champion. No one could hold him, not even Team Rocket. Alice firmly believed that. She had to. She couldn't accept that she might not see him again.

Soon the buildings of Cerulean City could be seen in the distance. The sun had begun to set over Mt. Moon to the west, casting the city in golden light.

When they arrived, Alice climbed wearily off the bike. Her legs felt stiff. JPO gave her his phone number in case the group needed help. "Thank you so much. For everything," Alice said gratefully. She felt a bit sad about leaving the bikers behind. She felt safer with them around.

JPO reminded Alice to tell Misty about Team Rocket and their possible base nearby. Alice nodded. She tucked the phone number he had given her into her jacket pocket. JPO then reached over and kissed her on the cheek. Alice felt herself blush. She wished her red face didn't give her away all the time. She knew Meg would never react so childishly. "It was a pleasure chatting with you my lady." JPO smiled.

Alice smiled back. "Thanks again, to all of you. It was an honour to ride with the Sons of Arcanine." She could still feel her face burning.

Alice waved goodbye to the rest of the bikers, as Meg also offered the groups' help if the bikers ever needed it.

Alice turned to her friends. It was nice to have the group back together.

Rocky and Brandon mentioned a Pokemon Center and Alice couldn't agree more. "Hey Brandon," Alice said, "How did my egg go? Thank you for looking after it for me," she smiled.

As they rode on, Marcela sat their quietly like always. She wasn't one to talk much unless she had something she actually wanted to say. Eventually, they reached Cerulean City and she dismounted as they all waved good by to the bikers and then stood their with everyone else.

The team finally was in Cerulean City. After all the choas it was hard to believe none of that mess had yet reached here yet.

"Marcela we should get those baby pokemon to the pokemon center." She said a little worn out.

"Our pokemon also need a good rest..they took a beating back their...we all took a beating." Meghan tried to joke looking back at Rocky.
"If only were as charming as that red haired guy..you would have have at least gotten to kiss her on the cheek." Meghan joked looking at Rocky.

As they moved through the town once again they could hear whispers but it didnt seem to be pertaining to them. Twenty five minutes had pased before they reached the pokemon center they noticed all the tvs were playing the same thing.

*Breaking News....Former League Champ make bold escape injuring 15 Rocket Defenders...Hold on we have more we are going live.*

Meghan sigh as she saw cop cars chasing the bikers that had just helped them. With a disappointed sigh she turned away to get her pokemon healed.
"Looks like we are on our own." She said putting her pokeballs on the tray.


She walked to near by spot to sit down. A tv screen above her turned on. A happy Professor Oak head popped up.
"Oh I am pleased to say this pokemon center has its first two achievement winners of the day..Meghan and Alice please bring your pokdex to the Daycare Center located on the right side of the building. Make sure to bring your pokedex and congrats again!"

Meghan gave the screen a strange look.


(guys after the beating they took it should be assumed that your main party will be gone for a couple of hours. If you do not have pokemon boxed you can keep half your pokemon. Dont worry you will not need them for right now.)

Alice reached down and picked up her egg. It seemed completely unharmed and was warm to the touch. Alice noticed Brandon's egg looked like it might be ready to hatch soon. "It looks like both eggs are fine," Alice smiled. "Thanks again Brandon. It was clever of you to wrap them up so well. I'm sorry you guys got captured by the Rockets. It would have been really scary being shoved in a van and not knowing what was going to happen." Alice slung her bag over her shoulder. It was good to have the familiar weight back.

Alice followed Meg through the town. She was too tired to pay attention to much. She was relieved to enter the Pokemon Center where it was cool and light. The TVs showed pictures from the confrontation with the Rockets earlier, then showed the bikers being chased by police. Alice felt sick. Everything kept going wrong.

Alice walked up to the nurse and asked for her Pokemon to be healed. "It will be a couple of hours," the nurse said. "They're in pretty bad shape." Alice nodded numbly, then walked over to the PC to withdraw some of her other Pokemon. There were still some she hadn't met.

Alice suddenly heard her name and turned around... Professor Oak's face was displayed on the screen. "....please bring your pokdex to the Daycare Center located on the right side of the building. Make sure to bring your pokedex and congrats again!"

Alice logged off the computer. She pulled her Pokedex from her pocket and walked over to Meg. "Uh, what was that about?" she asked.

The bikers rode away and Meg teased Rocky. "If only were as charming as that red haired guy..you would have have at least gotten to kiss her on the cheek." she said to him.

Rocky rubbed his arm, where 'Sin' had punched him. "A gentleman, doesn't kiss and tell!" he said and walked towards the Pokemon Center.

Once inside the nurse took his Pokemon and he settled in to watch the TV. The news came on showing the Police chasing the bikers and once again holding up team Rocket as the good guys.

"It's like dad always says, control the media, and you can make the public believe whatever you want."

He picked up a brochure for the local gym and read through it.

"Hang on. This says that the Misty has a water gym! Not just water types, but an actual pool of water for the battle arena. That cuts out two thirds of my team. I'd better make some changes." he went to the PC and changed his Pokemon team.

Rose's crying had been reduced to a slow trickle of silent tears. She felt even worse seeing how big a crybaby she was. She got on the bike without saying a word, and remained silent for a long time. Amirah made some attempts at cheering her up, but with no success. She couldn't believe they had come so close to saving Max only to fail. It just wasn't fair. JPO and the sons of arcanine dropped them off, and by this time Rose had stopped crying completely, but she still refused to say a word. A while later they reached Cerulean city, and they headed for the Pokemon Center. Rose gave her Pokemon to the nurse and then turned to sit on a bench. She wasn't feeling very sad anymore. She wasn't feeling much of anything.

After all that had happened, Rose completely forgot about the egg that was in her backpack. She opened the top of her bag and examined it. From what she could tell, it was okay. That was one thing for her to be happy about. She closed the bag and put it aside.

Meghan was a little bummed out as she their trying to rest. They team had gotten beaten down, lost Max again and now the closest things to decent people they knew were getting hunted down. Just as that was playing poorly focused video of the battle was being shown but only parts of it. Just images of bikers moving around in the dust and the flipped over armored cars. All these things were going through her mind as Alice walked up to her.
"Yeah lets go check it out." She said standing up from her seath near the lobby at the entrance.

The two walked together out the door and to the Daycare around the corner. "This must be something new..like the one we saw being built near Pewter."

She said walking into the brand new side building. As they walked in their was pokemon art on the walls and a very nice smell drifting through the air.

Glooms walked passed the two trainers.

"gloom gloom!"

They walked up the counter and pulled out the pokedex.
"Uhh someone paged us to come here." Meghan said putting it down on the counter.

The elderly lady picked it up and plugged it in the computer.

"Oh why well young Miss Megahn. Its says that are now qualify for a brand new program we are running. To encourage trainers to get out there more we are awarding them a gift for their accomplishments. The first question I have is do you have room for an egg?" She asked

The daycare lady brought eggs as rewards for Meg and Alice. Rocky didn't get one and he determined to pick up the pace and catch these two. He went back to the Pokemon center and saw Rose sitting quietly. She looked like she had been crying and had just about given up.

"Hey Rose, That was a horrible battle that we just went through. I want to thank you for fighting beside me. A lot of people would have just ran away. I am glad to have someone as brave as you to fight besides. I am going to try to train up one of my new Pokemon to try to get the Gym-ready. The Ekans sounds like the best bet. Do you have any new Pokemon that you want to train with me?"
