Citrus nodded and then took to the sky, enjoying the midday flight and sun on his wings.

Meanwhile, Alice felt the egg in her bag heating up! She lifted it out carefully. Small cracks had started to appear near the top of the shell.

"It's almost time!" Alice said happily to Aster.

Just as Alice spotted her friends, a trainer exited the gym. The boy and his Rattata liked like they had been half drowned.

Alice returned Citrus to his Pokeball. "Thought I'd lost you guys," she said to Brandon and Rocky. "Come on, let's go! Meg and Rose are probably done by now!"

Alice pushed open the doors to the gym and headed inside, looking for Misty.

Rocky arrived at the gym and saw Alice waiting outside. He walked up to the doors just as a young trainer ran out with a rattata by his side. The trainer was soaked and so was his Rattata. Rocky called out Speedy.

"Hello, a fellow rattata fan I see." Rocky said to the young trainer. "Speedy here, used double team to take down Misty's big hitter. What tactics did you use?"

"Thought I'd lost you guys," Alice said. "Come on, let's go! Meg and Rose are probably done by now!"

Misty led the group to her training room which was empty. When she felt safe she spoke up.

Misty eyes lit up thinking about Max. That feeling disappeared soon after. She held her opinion back until everything was cleared
"I heard what happened." She frowned.


" Brock sent me a message right away and I have my interns keeping me updated. The Mt.Moon incident and most recently the Route 4 gang war are all over the news. As a leader my support at least in the public's eye needs to behind Team Rocket and Kanto. However, as someone who was ...very close with Max. I can say I dont believe a word. When Max first came to Kanto a few years back he set up a secret base. In all of his bases he set up a computer that could link to upgrade..."

She paused a little sad.

"If you want to find Upgrade youll need to find that computer. I remember his base in Hoenn." she smiled

"R-Really?" Rose questioned, slowly walking over. "How does this work exactly?" She questioned, examining the bike. She knew you had to pedal to move, but how did you stop? There also seemed to be some mechanisms on the handles. What did these do? She didn't know the first thing about bike riding. She was starting to have some second thoughts, but it was too late to back out now.
