"Your little psychic is sooo cute!" The girl commented.

"Thank you." Rose responded shyly, sending out her first Pokemon.

((I just realized that there is no way I can win four rounds as I am now, need to do some level ups. Going to have to put like, all my minimal amounts of points into level ups. Sorry, should have done this all much sooner. Been feeling really drained from school. ))

A pokemon Breeder walked up to challenge Rocky next.

" A balanced diet is a must for pokemon health. What are you feeding your pokemon? Your rattata looks tough." She said.

"Thanks, Speedy here will eat just about anything that he can get his hands on. He has an incredibly fast metabolism."

Speedy heard the Breeder say nice things about him and ran over to her. He strectched up his head and she scratched behind his ears affectionately.

"Let's get battle number two done." Rocky said.

The breeder nodded and sent out three very healthy looking Pokemon, obviously her prime breeding stock.

First came a Pidgey. A flying type meant that Rusty could come out and play. Rusty ran after the Pidgey, who in turn flew up into the air and dive-bombed the poor little Aron. It was a stalemate, Rusty couldn't reach the Pidgey, and the Pidgey kept bouncing off Rusty's steel body ineffectually. "Use Rock throw, Rusty!' Rocky instructed. Rusty nodded and threw a rock at the pidgey, finishing the first bout.

The trainer then sent out a large Electabuzz. Rocky had two ground types, but the only one big enough to take the Electabuzz down was Professor needles.

"Prof, are you in good enough shape to take on that Electabuzz?" Rocky asked the Nidoking. The Nidoking looked up and shrugged and then gave a confident grin. "At least refresh yourself before the fight. Drink this." Rocky gave the Nidoking a refreshing lemonade.

Feeling refreshed the large Nidoking raced into combat. The two large Pokemon made a lot of noise. The nidoking was roaring a challenge while the Electabuzz hissed its protest at being unable to electrocute its opponent.

The last Pokemon the Breeder brought out was a perfectly manicured Clefable. It looked so graceful and elegant... until it looked at Rocky gave a threatening glare and pounded it's fist into its hand. It may look pretty, but it was full of aggression.

"Sniper, I choose you." The Arbok, slowly slithered towards the Clefable. Something was clearly wrong with the Arbok. Had it been injured. Before Rocky could withdraw it, the enemy Clefable took advantage of the slow moving Arbok and attacked with a double-slap move.

Sniper gave a victorious hiss and stopped pretending to be hurt. He accepted the double-slap stack and sprang at the Clefable, wrapping himself around it's neck and sinking his fangs into its side. The Clefable was pinned and unable to attack further as Sniper's poison did its work.

"I have got to get one of those." he said watching the fight.

Rose had just lost nearly her entire team. There was no way she could continue. She was too weak. How could she ever hope to help Max if she couldn't even beat these four trainers? A tear began to stream down from her eye. "If I leave now..." Rose questioned, "Can everyone else still go through if they win?"

The 1st trainer was taken down swiftly, but not without 2 of his pokemon sustaining siginifacent injuries. Within moments of beating the 1st trainer, the second one approached. Brandon said to his pokemon "Well done guys, get ready for the next one". With that his pokemon re formed up and prepared for the next attack.

After the second round the team had been tested. Unsure of even finishing a third round Meghan looked at her teammate.
"That was pretty tough..." she laughed

As the group stood there focusing on how they would battle the next round. A man walked up to him with a aide cross on his shirt.

" Hi everyone!" He said with a big smile.

" Im here to assist with pokemon health and well being. To make sure you pokemon are in tip top shape we like to offer a potion for each win so you can go ahead and take two. Also if you are in bad shape we have a restore machine right over there. You can only us it once in the tournament. "

Rocky suggested they wait as long as possible before using the restore machine. Alice agreed. "If you can hold off, that's definitely a good idea. I'm not sure my team is strong enough right now." She looked at the machine unsurely.

After he had finished battling the 2nd trainer, a man who appeared to be a pokemon medic, but he called himself an aide, approached the group. He offered each of them 2 potions. Brandon accepted his gratefully.

He also told them they had a healing machine if their pokemon was in bad shape, however, they could only use it once in the entire championship. Rocky suggested they go as long as possible without using the healing machine, to last as long as possible. Brandon agreed fully with that, unfortunately all his pokemon had either fainted or been severely injured with the exception of Marshtomp. He couldn't last a battle more with his team in its current shape. Brandon began walking over to the machine, as he did so he said to the group "Good job everyone, I admit these trainers are very tough. What Rocky said is 100% right, if you can avoid using the machine until you have to, do that. I am down to Marshtomp right now, so I have no choice but to use mine now". Then Brandon placed each of his pokemon on the machine and pressed the button. It made its machine noises and lit up, then it stopped. Brandon took his pokemon off the machine. He let out Skipper just to see how he felt, if the machine had worked. Skipper came out of the pokeball and blinked a few times, then saw Brandon and walked to his side. Brandon asked him "Skipper, you and the team fought well out there, how do you feel buddy? Ready for a couple more rounds?". The Charmeleon let out a cheerful and confident "CHHARRMMEELEEONN!" , his way of saying "I am just fine, of course I am ready for a couple more rounds, lets go get em!". Brandon let out a graceful laugh "That's good Skipper, I am glad". Then he walked back to the group to wait for the next round to begin.
