She was about to say something at the start as she wanted to help out. Although, as she was still only a starting trainer, Marcela knew she wouldn't be able to handle anything too big so she agreed to stay behind as back up. She knew Meghan was right however, she didn't know them too well and they didn't know her. Plus, as she didn't fully understand the situation with the champion while everyone else seemed to, she was afraid of messing things up for them so she decided to help Brandon and the others who were staying behind.
