The walk to Route 24 took a little while. The north route leading over the lake had been known for its beautiful bluffs overlooking the surrounding body of water. In the far edge of the route the light house could be seen. As they reached overpass they noticed a group of trainers lined up. It looked they would need to battle to get through it. As the boys had warned it seemed that the bridge was a ranked system. Four battles each just to reach the leader battle. Part of Meg like the idea of battling, but the other half knew they needed to stay focused on the mission at hand.

"Hopefully this doesnt take to long.." She said looking at the crowd.

As they walked into the crowd they heard lots of chit chat about the Sons of Arcanine



"Welcome to the Route 24 Challange.. former ladder of the Sons of Arcanine and the proud ladder of the dis-horned Pokemon League Champion Max. Now the home to the trainer that defeated him! The queen of the damned, the mistress of destruction, the legend slayer herself, Cyan!" He shouted

He looked at the five trainers.
"Are you here to join in the tournament? If so let me tell you about the tournament. Years ago this use to be a daily tournament that was built on a ladder system. At the time the old guard of the Sons controlled the bridge. For months holding power over it and all passers. Until the league champion and Misty put it all on the line and battle for not only control of the bridge but for control of the Sons. In the faithful battle the two teamed up and shocked Kanto by taking down the leadership of Sons. Once the old guard was out Max changed the rules. His new rules said each trainer must battle through four trainers consecutively if the trainers wins they can advance and battle the leader. If however they are traveling in a group, they each need to battle four people but only one of them needs to defeat the bridges leagder. If that person wins they can pass, however if somehow they fail the whole team gets sent back. Is this clear?"

The first round of the bridge was home to the younger trainers.
