Alice paused when she heard the echoing noise. She was pleased when Finn mimicked her action. She looked at the two paths ahead of them and then tapped her Poketech again. It beeped a couple of times, which caused her to quickly muffle it and turn it off in a hurry. The noise echoed off the walls. "Sorry," she whispered to the others. She would have to figure it out another time.

She looked at the path which split just ahead. How would they figure out which way Team Rocket went?

Alice looked down at Finn. His hearing should be much more acute with his large ears. "Can you take a look around?" she asked. "Let me know if you hear anything down either of the paths."

"Ni?" Finn looked confused for a moment but then nodded. He shut his eyes and concentrated, turning from one path to the other. Eventually he stopped in front of the path heading north.

"You can hear something down there?" Alice asked.

"Nini!" Finn confirmed.

"You can't tell what?"

"Do," Finn frowned. It could have been anything, even a wild Pokemon.

"If no one has any other ideas, I think I might trust Finn on this one," Alice said. "But if you guys want to split up to make sure we don't miss Team Rocket, that's fine with me. Maybe we can use these silly watches to communicate somehow?" She looked over at Meg who seemed to have gotten her Poketech working.
