Alice followed Meg. Finn kept his ears pricked as they walked. He checked every path they came across for sounds, but so far there had been nothing unusual. Suddenly, Alice thought she heard something. She looked back and noticed Finn stopped beside a path. Meg kept walking but Alice paused with her Pokemon. She heard something - a strange yet familiar echo.

"Nini!" Finn said.

"Meg!" Alice called as quietly as possible. "I think there's something down this way." She couldn't see anything from where she stood. "I don't know if it's the way down, but I definitely heard something. I'm gonna check it out. You coming?"

Alice moved quietly down the path. She was unsure what the sound was. It could have been Team Rocket... or maybe a Pokemon. Whatever it was, she wanted to keep the element of surprise. She took each step gingerly, looking out for any out of place rocks or odd patterns on the ground, which might indicate another trap. Finn's ears twitched beside her. The noise seemed to be coming from somewhere up ahead.
