Nathan and Shich hid behind the rock, looking upon the conflict between some group members and Team Rocket. Until, now did Nathan learn the name of these crooks. Team Rocket. A familiar name. Sounds like Team Magma and Team Aqua like from back home. Nathan remembered an invasion of Team Magma in Verdanturf Town. They came in trying to find a way towards Mt. Chimney in order to create a new base, at the same time the robbed people of their belongings and forced the folks to join them in their cause. The adult town folk ganged up together and forced Team Magma out with their Pokemon. Nathan remembered watching his father's Steelix destroy Team Magma's armada of Mightyena and Camerupt. Team Magma retreated and later in the news, Team Magma moved towards Lavaridge Town up north in order to get closer to Mt. Chimney. Team Magma's motive was to use some ancient Pokemon that could raise the land for their own desires. Until recently, Nathan learned about the gang war between Team Magma and Aqua and learn of the existence of a Team Aqua. Team Aqua wanted to use another ancient Pokemon to raise the sea. Nathan had remembered of a clash between the two teams in Mauville, where the two gangs brought there fighting from the east into the city. There are a huge sound of battling that could be heard a mile away. Mightyena fought off Sharpedo and Crobat attacked Camerupt. Due to the fighting Nathan wasn't able to go east into Mauville and returned to Verdanturf.

But, what did Team rocket want? Obviously not change the planet's ecosystem. Team Rocket seemed more ruthless than Team Magma and Aqua. Team Magma and Aqua both wanted to raise the land or sea for the benefit of Pokemon and humans. Team Rocket doesn't want to help them at all. It infuriated Nathan to think what Team Rocket has been doing. Just imagine what happened before. What more horrendous act against nature have team Rocket committed? They have abused Pokemon, hurt them. Have they even killed Pokemon. Hunted species down to extinction? Sell them on the black market? This all filled Nathan with grief and anger. All the lost souls due to theirs hands. Why would people do this? What sane human being would sign up for this? If this even legal? It shouldn't be. This shouldn't all be happening. Team Rocket must end. The must perish. These thought kept getting Nathan. He looked upon the stolen Phanphy's face. He tried imagining if Leafy or Shich had got stolen, abused, and used for evil. He thought of attacking. But, it wasn't the Pokemon's fault. The poor Onix probably is just scared and frightened. Not knowing where its Trainer is. Nathan felt like he must act now. He was uncertain what to do. Whether it was best to stay out or get involved. He surely didn't want to hurt any of the stolen Pokemon.

"Shich, I need you to do a favor. Stop the Onix. I'm afraid the poor Onix is going to have to suffer in order to gain it's freedom. Now go do the best you can," said Nathan. "Combusken!" cried out Shich getting pumped up. Shich, in order to help himself out, leveld up before he acted.
