"Great job!" she said softly putting the pokeball back on her belt.


Meghan looked down to her partner Kaze.

Charmeleon nodded headed out.

Meghan looked across the battling area at Cyan. She then looked around taking in the fact that she was battling a former league champ on a bridge. She then looked down at the rubber band on her wrist. She had placed it there as a reminder that she had to find Max to figure out what was going on.

Meghan looked back at Cyan with determination.

" lets heat things up! Kaze Flamethrower!"

After the battle Kaze came rushing back. Next up it was Sappys turn. The impressive bug had put on a show after his last battle and was looking to repeat.

The miltank began to roll out on the bridge. The heavy wooden planks began to shake as Miltank slammed right into the bug type knocking it back. Before Heracross could do anything the powerful normal type circled back around to hit it again.

" Sappy get off the ground !!" Meghan called out. Sappy nodded flying up the in the air.

Cyan smiled.
"You think thats going to stop us!"

"Mill build some speed and jump it!"


The miltank circled around using a railing shot into the air right at the exhausted bug.

" Hold steady !" Meghan called out.

"Counter!"

Sappy reached out catching the ball and with a powerful blow sent Miltank into the bridge blow knocking it out. Sappy flew back to Meghan. The big bug was tired but happy.
"That was so amazing." She said rubbing its head.

"Lets keep this going ! Rei your up!" She said tossing the pokeball into the air.

"Milotic's amazing thats for sure! It should be a great challenge for you Sting!" Meg said letting the next pokeball fly.

" Kaze is at half health..Sappy is pretty tired and Sammy is full strength. "


Meghan pulled out Sammy's pokeball calling out the little pink fairy type.
" Milotic knocked out our friend Sting. Lets make sure he didnt faint for no reason."

The three headed monster flew around letting out a might growl.

Meghan planted her feet looking at the excited Jigglypuff.
"Sammy you up for one more??

"Jig Jigglyyyy pufff!"

"You didnt think it would be that easy did you ?" She smiled

Meghan looked over at the tired Sappy.
"This thing is tough but you are my Sappy. My powerful fighter who can hang in their through anything." Meghan said looking him in the eyes.

The two pokemon went head to head Kaze fought much harder than Cyan had expected. With a flame thrower from charmeleon and a dragon pulse from Cyan the battle was over. To their shock the battle had ended in a tie. Meg was at a loss for words running over to collect Kaze. Cyan stood their stunned...
"I didnt win.." She said taking a couple of steps back.

The announcer was speechless
" ......umm..."

He paused

"We have a ....Tie! Which means we have a winner!! Meghan!" He called out.

"In the case of a tie the challenger is awarded the win however Cyan retains her roll as champion of the bridge. What an exciting battle!" He called out.


The crowd started to applause for the awesome battle they had just saw.

Meghan sat on the ground with Kaze.
"You did amazing." she said to the weak pokemon.


As she stood up she looked over at Cyan who was standing there with the sun setting just behind her. She slowly walked over.
" That wasnt the outcome I was looking for...You battle with a lot of spirit. Your strategy and understanding of your pokemon is something I didnt expect. In fact as I watched your friends battle I was very impressed that they made it as far as they did. Here we prefer fully evolved beat downs but you and your team used under evolved pokemon with good match ups. I must say I am impressed but now determined more than ever to be better. You and I will meet again in battle I can guarantee that. "


She paused pulling out a pokeball.

"It is a tradition to gift a pokemon to winner of this tournament. " Cyan handed over the pokeball.
