The nurse handed Alice a phone. She took it, surprised. "Um, hello?" She said, still looking at the nurse.

Alice listened carefully as Brock spoke. It was nice to hear from an ally. He told her about the computers being set up in major cities and suggested they get help in Lavender Town.

"Which brings me to my next point Misty said you were guys were looking for Max's base any luck with that." Brock asked.

"We found the base," Alice replied, "We're supposed to find Max's Porygon. One of his Pokemon was going to help us, but he didn't make it out of Cerulean... Anyway Upgrade was supposed to be close to here, but no sign so far." She said sadly.

"Also I have a personal favor if thats okay. We had one of rare fossil deposits broken into on One Island. If for whatever reason you end up out near the One Island chain I sure would appreciate if you could check it out. " Brock said.

Alice felt a tiny bit of excitement for the first time since Max was captured. Fossils! This was why she wanted to travel... "I'll definitely take a look," she replied. "Thanks for your help, Brock. It's nice to know that there's someone out there looking out for us."
