As terrified as Rose was, in a way, she almost was beginning to like the detective. She felt torn between the detective's apparent niceness and the fact that he was arresting them. They were forced to walk for a while, and Rose remained mostly silent. So many thoughts passed through her head. Did her parents know about this? What would they think when they found out? Would she be forced to go back home with them? Or worse, what if they were found guilty? She knew this couldn't be the end of their journey. They had to find a way out so they could clear their names and save Max.

Several hours passed before the detective suggested that they stop and make camp. Rose was relieved. After all the walking they had done that day and the day before, her feet were aching. "That sounds amazing." She said.

Rose unrolled her sleeping bag and laid it out on the ground. She sat down on it, but she didn't feel like going to sleep yet, even if she was tired. "Amirah?" Rose said, lifting up her hand. The small psychic type landed on her hand, making a faint chime as she did so. "How are you doing?" She asked, and the chingling responded with a chime. That familiar chime always made Rose feel a little bit better.
