Rose took a step back as all of the floating waiters began to say her name. They went through Alice and Brandon's names too. Suddenly Stacy and Ty were sent flying out of the room and the doors were slammed shut. The man reached towards Brandon and suddenly he stabbed himself with his own knife. "Brandon!" Rose called out, running towards him. Before she could reach him, the man released a Pokemon. The mawile charged towards Alice, chomping down on her.

*I am here because of you...The master thanks you.....* The man said, turning to her.

"What do you..." Before she could finish her question, she suddenly felt Dredd's presence on the ship.

*But wants you to know, you killed them..* As soon as he finished speaking, Rose let out a cry of pain. She felt as though she was being engulfed by shadow energy. She suddenly felt dizzy, and her senses began fading in and out. She fell over onto the ground, completely blacking out a second later.

Suddenly she was standing on the top deck next to Dredd and Will. She would have wondered how she had gotten there had she not been too startled by the presence of Dredd. He began to speak to her. Suddenly it hit her. "To choose death means you may save lives but at a cost, to choose life means you will cause many deaths that go unseen." She repeated the words in her head. Was this what he had meant? Had the choice been to save Meghan and Kyo? Had she sacrificed the people on the ship in order to save them? "No! I... I..." She said, trying to find the words, but she couldn't. It was all her fault.

She closed her eyes. Could she escape this if she focused hard enough? After a moment, she opened them. Against her will, now it was her in Dredd's place taking the gem. "Please..." She said, trying to fight it, but not even managing to slow herself down. She walked over to the edge of the ship and reached her arms out. Suddenly she saw the tentacruel begin to surface. "Stop!" Rose cried, tears flowing down her cheek. She was completely bent to Dredd's will.
