Everything happened so fast. Alice screamed and looked away as Brandon stabbed himself. She wanted to run to him, but her feet were frozen. When she looked back at the man he was holding a pokeball.

A Mawile came out, thrashing angrily.. Memento? Alice questioned. It couldn't be.. She was healed. She was safe... But it looked like her! The mad shadow Pokemon leapt at her, clamping down on her shoulder. She screamed in pain and sank to the ground. The Mawile retreated for a moment.

"Memento!" she screamed, tears rolling down her cheeks now. "This isn't happening! I won't fight!" she yelled. She had been bitten by a shadow Pokemon! Would she be infected now? Would she become a monster? She would not send out her Pokemon against this animal. A single scratch would infect them. She wouldn't let it happen again...

She got to her feet, shoulder burning with pain, but adrenaline and her protective instinct dulling it for now. She looked around the room for anything she could use to fend off the Pokemon, for a window or any way she could escape.

"Max! Stop this! Max!" she screamed as she ran. She had no idea who the man before her was, but she knew Dredd was here somewhere. Was he in control or merely a pawn himself?
