Alice's Poketech beeped quietly. A message from Rocky had come through. 'Alice. I am coming with Reese. We will be there soon.' it read. It was good to know backup would be arriving, and a champion no less!

Suddenly, four of Surge's grunts ran around the building. They were complaining amongst themselves. It sounded like they were ordered to fix the machine that Meg had seemingly broken.

Alice didn't like the sound of an Arbok tunneling under people. She had experienced the dangerous Pokémon firsthand. If they weren't careful, they could be the next victims.

One of the grunts was getting close to their hiding place. If they didn't move, they would be spotted. "Reese and Rocky are on their way," she said. "But I don't think it's a good idea for all of us to show ourselves. But I don't think we should let them fix that machine either... Any ideas?" she asked the group.
