Brandon continued listening silently to what everyone said, when everyone finally finished and was ready to go to sleep, Brandon crawled back to his make shift bed, be could have made a makeshift tent using some the tarp, sheets and rope he had in his pack, but it was such a beatiful night, that he decided to sleep in the open with only his makeshift bed, his couple blankets and pillow. Once he reached the makeshift bed, he laid down and put the blankets over him, then Brandon said good night to Skipper, who sat next to his makeshift bed, watching everyone pack up for the night and also scanning the forest around them, keeping an eye out for any threats. Before he fell asleep, Brandon reached down to his belt and pulled Skipper's pokeball off his belt, he tapped skipper on the foot, once Skipper looked at him, Brandon held up the pokeball, offering Skipper the shelter of his pokeball if he wanted it, but the Charizard shook his head, declining the offer. As Brandon re clipped the pokeball to his belt, Skipper bent down nudged his trainer with his snout gently, his way of saying good night. Brandon rubbed Skipper's snout gently and said quietly"Thank you buddy, good night to you too." then Skipper nodded kindly and went back to keeping an eye on the sorroundings. As Brandon lay on the makeshift bed yawning and beginning to drift off to sleep, Brandon tiredly said to Skipper "Don't stay up all night buddy. It is ok to sleep, even the most strongest and mightest pokemon need sleep, so be sure to get some sleep tonight, you've earned it, we all have". Brandon said this so that hopefully Skipper would get some sleep and not stay up guarding all night, Skipper was such a proud, protective pokemon and leader, that it wouldnt surprise Brandon if the Charizard forgot to get some sleep. He wanted to make sure the Charizard would get some sleep, last thing he wanted or needed was his pokemon being tired, especially with all the excitement and dangerous things and events that always seen to happen around the group. Moments after he finished saying it, he fell into a deep, relaxing sleep.

In the morning, he woke up and prepared to begin packing up his things, next to his makeshift bed and where he was sleeping, Skipper was laying down on his stomach, probably the most comfortable position, now that he had wings and was fast asleep. Brandon smiled silently, glad to see pokemon getting some rest. He proceeded with packing up his things and getting ready for the day, being very careful to make as little to no noise as possible, he didnt want to wake up Skipper from his sleep yet until the others were up. As he finished packing up his things and was pulling out a couple pieces of beef jerky and a granola bar from his pack to have for breakfast. Some of the others began to wake up. The movements of the other trainers in the group waking up and moving around to start the day, woke up Skipper from his sleep. He opened his eyes and quickly got to his feet, immediatelly looking around to make sure there werent being attacked or anything like that, once he was confident it was just the other trainers in the group waking up and there were no threats, he sat down and stretched began to stretch his arms. When he noticed Brandon was awake, he nodded his head at him, his way of trying to say good morning. Brandon, now munching a strip of beef jerky said between bites "Good morning Skipper, you sleep well?" The Charizard nodded in reply, he seems to have had a very relaxed and much needed night sleep. Brandon, eating the last little piece of beef jerky, said in reply "That's good, you deserved it. We have been through alot lately, we all deserve the rest." after a brief pause he asked "You hungry? I have some beef jerky you could eat if you want, I know it isn't much for a big pokemon like you, but it should hopefully be enough to hold the hunger at bay until we can find you something more to eat". He reached into his pack again, he dug his hand into the small poncho like bag that contained his supply of beef Jerky, he took out a handful and gave some to Skipper. Then he released the rest of his pokemon and passed the rest out evenly between them all. They all gratefully accepted it and hungrily ate the beef jerky. They were all done eating within less a minute, showing just how hungry they were, then they all took turns congratulating Skipper on evolving, it was the first time they had seen him since his evolution and they were all very excited and happy for him. Marshtomp in particular took the longest to congratulate Skipper, having been with Brandon and his team almost from the very start, just like skipper and knowing Skipper the longest of any other pokemon in the team. Brandon watched with a smile as he watched his pokemon congratulate Skipper and then converse with one another. Brandon decided he would let them all talk and play and do whatever they wanted until the rest of the group was up and they were ready to leave. They had certainly earned the right and the priviledge to it. Brandon sat watching happily and feeling very proud as his pokemon talked and played with another, as he waited for the rest for the group to wake up and for them all to be ready to leave.

Soon the rest of the group was up and a little while later, they began to head out. Brandon packed up his stuff and told his pokemon to prepared to head out. Soon the group set out, Brandon followed towards the rear of the group, his pokemon followed. After awhile they came across an old man, who warned them of some kind of danger ahead. Brandon couldn't help but silently chuckle, after all they had been through and all the dangerous things and events they have been through, surely whatever lie ahead could not possibly be ANYMORE dangerous then what they had been through in their relatively short but dangerous journey. The old man's warning was well intended he knew, but Brandon was sure they would be able to make through whatever dangers may lie ahead. When the old man explained that the danger was fossil and gem thiefs, he was 100% confident that they were in no immediate danger and that what was ahead, they would be able to deal with. First off, they had no fossils or gems, atleast none worth much of anything and if those thiefs DID try to attack them or steal anything from the group, they would be swiftly prevented and dealt with by their pokemon. Afterall, between everyone in the group, they had atleast 4 or 5 Charizards, including Skipper, who would rather faint then let any thief, threat or danger anywhere near his trainer or Brandon's team or even anyone in the group. Aside from all their Charizards, they had a ton of other fully evolved pokemon at their side who would and could fight off or try to fight off any threat, until the end. Brandon was confident they would be fine, so Brandon stayed at the back of the group and waited for the group to decide what the next move would be, whatever it was, he was ready for it and his pokemon were ready for it, he has gone through hell and back, his pokemon have gone to hell and back and the group had gone to hell and back and now he had even stronger pokemon then he did in those times.

Brandon waited silently and patiently for the group to proceed.

The old man proceeded to explain about the gems further, then Rose explained to them an additional part about what happened on the ship with the gem that she had left out earlier. Brandon listened intently and respectivelly as she told the story.

After awhile they continued on and eventually made it to Gem City and its pokemon center, the city was empty and quiet as it usually was again. The team went inside to return pokemon they had found and then healed their teams. Brandon exchanged some pokemon at the pc while he was there as well.

Once the changes were made, Brandon packed up and prepared to head out, they were going to go get their poketch batteries replaced at a nearby shop, since they had been fried in the battle with Surge.

Once that was done, Brandon decided to just wonder around the city and see what he could find while enjoying the brush all around the city, after all, this would probably be the only city with such quiet and that was so close to a forest and nature. Brandon started walking around the city, walking towards a series of small buildings and shops in the city.

Brandon walked through an area with alot of stores and shops, most of them closing for the day. Brandon kept walking past all the buildings, continuing to walk until he reached the edge of the woods that sorrounded the city. Once there, he stood silently and just admired the beauty and silence. Brandon noticed a bird fly from one tree to another, probably a momma bird bringing something to her babies, Brandon thought. Brandon suddenly had a idea, he just remmebered his poketech could take pictures and videos. Brandon looked down at the watch and found where the camera was located. Then flip through the menus ans looked through the apps on the poketch, when he found the 'Camera' app, he tapped it. The app opened and the screen displayed what the camera was capturing. He could see himself looking at the watch through the camera. Once the app was up and Brandon ensured that it was set to 'Picture' mode, he looked through the settings and found where you could set a timer, at the end of which the camera would snap the picture automaticly. He set the timer to 2 seconds then turned the watch so that the camera would capture/see the woods, then he tapped the 'shutter' button to start the count down. After a few seconds, Brandon checked to make sure the picture was taken then turned the watch towards the woods again to take several more pictures. After about 5 more pictures, Brandon turned a little so that his back was to the woods, then he positioned the watch in such a way that the capture would capture both himself and the woods. Brandon took 2 or 3 more pictures like this, then he closed the 'camera' app and began to move on. He moved along the tree line for awhile, keeping the city and buildings in his view and stopped once or twice more to enjoy the awesome scenery and nature around him. After a couple hours of wondering and enjoying nature, it was getting close to the time that he should be meeting the others at the pokemon center. Brandon began walking back towards the main city, he could see the red lights of the pokemon center's roof in the distance, he started walking towards it. After about 5 minutes of walking, Brandon was back in the main city and after about 10 minutes he reached the pokemon center. He looked at his poketch, it was only a couple of minutes until the meet up time. Brandon turned around and took one last look at the woods in the distance, taking it all in, then he turned back around and walked into the pokemon center.

The entire group finally arrived at the pokemon center and to an extremelly pleasant surprise. Waiting for them was a full fledged feast, courtsey of the city of Gem for the group helping to save the island. Brandon laughed with pleasure, finally the recoginition and honoring they deserved! The rest of Kanto ought to take after Gem City. When Gem City wants to honor a group of folks who helped then out, they throw them a feast, not hunt them down and try to throw them in jail like the rest of Kanto. Brandon let out his pokemon, so that they could finally eat properly, he gave them the gesture that said "Go ahead and dig in" so that his pokemon wouldnt hold back. His pokemon were big on manners, being polite and being serious as well and they werent about to dig in without making sure they were allowed to eat the food. Then Brandon grabbed a plate and piled as much food as he could onto it and then went and sat down to eat. The food was gone withon minutes and Brandon went up to fill up his plate again. He ate the food, every last bite, it was delicious and refreshing after eating 'on the go' food for a number of days. Once Brandon was done, he reached into his pack and pulled out 1 empty water bottle and 2 and a half filled water bottles and walked over to a water cooler, he filled all 3 up to the brims, then carefully screwed to the caps back on and placed them back in his pack. Brandon walked over to the food table, he noticed a couple boxes of pop tarts on the desert table. He picked up a smores flavored poptart box and he put it in his pack. Since everything at the feast was free for them, it wouldnt be stealing and Brandon needed to replenish a little bit of his 'on the go' food supply, as he and his pokemon had gone through abit of it. All he had left now was a full box of granola bars and another box of granola bars that was half full along with his shrinking supply of beef jerky. With how their journies had been so far, he would need as much 'on the go' food as he could scavage.

Once he had re zipped his pack, he walked over and sat down once more so that he could begin to digest his food. Brandon looked around for his pokemon, he noticed they seemed to just be finishing up on eating. Brandon hoped they had ate as much as they could, who knew the next time they would be able feast or even just eat like this again.

Brandon decided he wanted to relax for now, he closed his eyes for a couple minutes, enjoying every second of the rest.

After awhile, the guy Red walked in and began talking to a couple of people in the group. Brandon watched him silently until his pokemon walked up to him to re group, having eaten all they could and relaxed enough to move comfortably. Brandon looked at then all and smiled saying "Did you guys eat well? Hope so, you guys deserve it and earned it after all your hard work, dedication, strength and loyality" then he yawned and stretched, now that he had eaten, his body now turned its attention to addressing his only remaining need: sleep. Brandon could tell his pokemon were a little tired as well, even though they were doing a good job at covering it up. Brandon knew his pokemon and knew when they were tired or something no matter how well they hid it. Brandon then got up, grabbed his backack then said to his pokemon "Come on guys, let's go get some sleep", he motioned with his arm to follow him then he walked around until he found his room. Once in, Brandon took off his pack and put it on the floor next to him, then he began to crawl into bed. Before tucking in and going to sleep, Brandon offered each of his pokemon the option to sleep in their pokeballs if they wanted. They all accepted except Skiller and Marshtomp, as usual they elected to stay out and take turns guarding in case of any trouble. Then Brandon turned out the light in the room, tucked himself in and said good night to his pokemon "Good night guys, get some sleep, we should be safe here. It is ok to rest and I want you guys to rest, you earned it". Then with that, Brandon turned onto his side, adjusted his pillow and blanket to be comfortable and went to sleep.

In the morning he woke up to sunlight streaming through the blinds in the window, by the bed Skipper and Marshtomp lay sleeping close to his bed. Brandon quietly began getting ready for the day, as he did so Skipper woke up followed soon by Marshtomp. When the 2 awoke, they began having a groggy conversation, mainly Skipper though. From what Brandon could make out through their pokemon language, it appeared as though Marshtomp was supposed to keep watch Skipper slept, but had dosed off. Skipper politely confronted the water type asking Marshtomp how he could fall asleep on watch. Marshtomp began defending itself by saying it was tired from all the walking and stuff the last couple days and that in the quiet of the room, he just dosed off. Before it could get any further Brandon broke in "Ok ok settle down guys. I am glad you both got rest, you earned it and like I said, we are pretty safe here, it is ok to sleep, your both out so even if someone were try to attack us unexpectedly, you would both be there to respond quickly". Come lets go meet the others. With that, Brandon gathered his stuff, made the bed and then began walking down the halls on his way to the main lobby, munching on a granola bar while doing so, behind him Skipper and Marshtomp followed closely. Once downstairs he heard the tail end of Jenny's little speech with the group and about the pokemon thing. The rest of the group fanned out looking out for pokemon they might like. Brandon sat down and waited for the rest of the group to come back and re group.

After everyone in the group was finished 'adopting' the pokemon they wanted, the group began to prepare to move on. Reese led them to a ferry, which they boarded, Reese, however, decided to stay behind for some reason. As they boarded, they noticed some water type pokemon in the waters around the ship, all of them were too far out for them to consider trying to get one. As the group walked through the ship, they came across a battling area, where there were alot of pokemon and trainers about. A couple people in the group noticed a strange pokemon they had never seen before, Brandon walked up to see for himself, indeed the pokemon was one he had never seen before. One of the trainers in the group reffered to their pokedex, but it didn't offer much information on it. Then someone talked to the trainer of the pokemon, who was a woman to try and get more info, they got only a little bit more info before a crowd of people started gathering and the woman disappeared.

Brandon turned to the others in the group and said "Well... That's that" then after pausing for a second, he asked "What do we want to do now? Do we battle and train here, do we go relax, go explore, do we stay together or do we split up? This ferry must have a number of activities we can do" .

Brandon wasn't sure what they should, but whatever they did, he hoped it would be somewhat fun and wouldn't involve sitting around.
