When they arrived at the Pokemon Center, the group decided to split up to do whatever they wanted. The problem for Rose was that she wasn't sure what she wanted. She usually was happy to just follow everyone else. Going on her own made her nervous. She headed outside and walked around the town for a while without any particular destination in mind. Eventually she got a message on her poketech. She listened to it.

"Having a great time on the beach! Come join me!" The poketech's monotone voice repeated Rocky's message. Rose had nothing better to do so she began to head over.

As Rose approached the shore she could begin to feel a cool breeze coming from the direction of the water. It was not a particularly hot day, but it wasn't cold either. She realized when she got there that she had no way of knowing where on the beach Rocky was. She walked up to the shoreline, took her shoes off and let the waves hit her feet. The water was still cold, causing her to jump back. She turned back and walked along the beach looking for Rocky. After a couple minutes she found him.

"Rocky!" she called out, walking over. She saw that he was talking to a trainer with a Blaziken.
