As the team boarded the ship they gave one last wave to Logan. He stood on the beach waving at them until they faded into the distance. It would appear they would need to figure out how to master this new weapon in their travels but for now, their focus had to be on getting reconnected with the world. It had been weeks since they had vanished this wouldn't become clear until the small trading barge reached the area around One Island. The trip there took 6 hours and before they could even get close to the island they noticed a fleet of ships surrounding it.

A small police boat sped up next to them stopping the ship. The captain quickly complied and greeted what turned out to be the national guard.
" How can I help you offers?" he said as the ship was then boarded

"This area is off limits." The soldier said looking around.

" What is your purpose here?" He asked suspiciously glaring at the captain.

" We are transporting a couple of young pasengers who were stranded on four island. I figured this would be the best place for them to hope a ride to the mainland. " He said in response

The soldier paused looking towards the small group of trainers.
" The island is off limits is civialians. The only boat we have is cargo ship heading back towards Lavender Town..Otherwise youll need to head to Two Island and wait for something speedier." he said

The captain looked towards the team.
" Its up to you."

Meghan spoked first.
"First, We have friends on One Island. How can we get in contact with them?" She said folding her arms

"The phone lines are working, its best to leave a message until civialians are let back on the island." He responded

Meghan didnt like his response but what could she do about it right now.
" We need to get back to the mainland as soon as possible."

She looked at the others

"Um do they have first class cabins on this Cargo ship? I am used to a certain level of comfort." Rocky asked.

To the police officers he said, "Don't worry officers, I would rather not head back to One island after what happened to us last time. Did that massive shadow attack get cleaned up?"

Kyo didn't really mind not going back to One Island. As much as she would like to check on Stacy, given Kyo was technically the cause of Ty's death well... Kyo wasn't that eager to check on her. It could possibly need end very well. Kyo listened to Alice and Rocky, the other two seemingly on the same wave length. Seemed like no one really wanted to head back to One Island. Oh good, what a relief. She wasn't the only one.

"I don't mind the cargo ship," Kyo replied. Whatever got them away from these islands faster was fine by Kyo. She wanted to put this whole series of adventures behind her for now.

"Shadow attack?" the man asked puzzled giving Rocky an odd look.

" The island is still in the rebuilding phase after the terrorist attack. An explosion leveled part of the city and knocked everyone around the island out. Worse yet was the terrorist destroyed a priceless gem. Sadly will never know why as the bodies of the 7 young trainers responsible for the attack were found near the center. The youngest of the group was just a boy." He frowned

" So yeah, it's best if you all avoid the island until the investigation into what happened is finished. As for the mysterious dark pokemon, they seemed to have spread throughout Kanto." the man said giving the captain the all clear and returning to his boat.

"What did the man mean bodies?" Meghan said low enough for only the team to hear. Did he just confirm the fate of their young friend? Meghan felt that familiar feeling of pain starting to well up inside of her again.

Could the world around them have experienced a loss of time somewhat similar to what they had felt? There were too many questions to ask with very little information to go off.

Once the team was on the Cargo ship they were finally back on track. The ride to Lavander Town wasn't a short trip in any way. Around 2 am the cargo ship finally reached the dock just outside of Lavander Town. Even from the dock outside of town, they could see the outline of the Pokemon Tower which hung over the whole town like the death itself.

As soon as the ship docked the trainers were let off. Within moments there, pokenavs were flooded with messages.

Alice received a message from Bill
" Hello there! How goes the trip...
......It has been a couple of days any luck with the stone research?...
............Been a couple of weeks now. I hope everything is okay...

A second message came through
A picture of a motorcycle.
" Its Jax! We just finally made bail. I hope you all are safe!"

Rocky's received messages from his driver and his family. Also a message from the young man he had run into in Vermillion City.

" I hear that you've made it out to the islands. I hope you know that's not far enough for those trainers I warned you about to find you."

Kyo received a cryptic text it was just a picture of the casino.
" You picked the wrong side....
......I heard you made it out of the warehouse....
........No matter who you are hanging out with we are going to meet again.....
............Seeya soon old friend.....

Brandon received a message from an old friend.
" I found a geodude! ...
....Do you capture one yet?.....
......Have you heard that there a special electric geodudes>??? crazy right?...

Meghan had picked up a message from her dad back at the Daycare Center.

Rose was hit with a dark sense of energy. The souls of thousands of pokemon had been laid to rest here in Lavander Town. The psychic energy was off the charts!

After a long trip on thoroughly unsatsifactory accommodations, Rocky was woken from his restless slumber. 'I mean seriously not even room service?' His dreams had been haunted by 7 dead bodies laid ata crater site back on One island.

He looked at his watch. 2 AM! Someone had woken him at 2 AM! They had better be under attack or someone was going to get a talking too!

They had arrived at Lavender town. The large Pokemon Tower loomed overhead. Rocky looked up impressed. This was one of the sights he had wanted to see. Even at night it was a fantastic sight.

His Pokenav beeps over and again as it received message after message. He checked them.

'Uh-oh' seventy-eight missed messages from Mum. This was going to be painful. He read through them, they got gradually more and more angry as they continued with no response from Rocky. He sent a quick message.

*Hi mum, sorry was on a cruise to the islands. No Pokenav reception out there. Absolutely primitive! I have arrived back at Lavender. Check out what I am looking at right now!*

He attached a photo of the Pokemon Tower and sent the message.

Next he replied to the rich young trainer who had warned him about his hidden enemies.

*Hello, friend. Just back from cruise. Met those friends who were looking for me. I am back. They are not. Any news?*

Finally he texted his driver.

"Hello, Giles. I have arrived back in kanto. Am at Lavender town. Please bring the car and a new at your earliest convenience. Thanks Rocky!*

He then looked around. "OK shall we find a nice hotel. Hopefully they will be open late for us. I could use some proper room service!" he said to his fellow trainers.

Once everyone was on the research boat, it set off out to sea. Within a couple hours, they could finally see the coast line of one island, it was not a good sight at all. Big huge coast guard and navy ships appeared to be anchored on the coast of it. Whatever was going on still on the island, it did not look good. Suddenly a boat with flashing red and blue lights pulled up along the boat and forced it to stop. Great, Brandon thought, just what they needed, a run in with the authorities. Brandon quickly put his hood up on his hoodie and called his pokemon back to their pokeballs. Trying his hardest make sure he wasnt recoginized. The commanders of the police boat, which turned out to be national guard, boarded and asked the captain why he was going towards one island. The captain explained that he was dropping them off on one island. The national guard solider told them no one was allowed back to the island, but there was a cargo boat to Lavender town if they wanted to get a ride on that. While the group decided this, Rocky asked the sailor about the 'shadow attack' and what happened on the island. Brandon wanted to facepalm so bad, but refrained from doing so for fear of being noticed. The solider explained about a terrorist attack and 7 young bodies of the terrorists. This made Brandon quite frightened, 7 bodies? He didnt mean the bodies of themselves did he? He must be, but how is it possible? They were still very much alive. Then again, Brandon thought, if the authorities thought they were dead, maybe that was a good thing. It would mean they wouldnt hunt them down anymore.

After a minute or two of discussion, the group decided to go on the cargo ship and the solider departed.

Awhile later they were on the cargo ship, on their way to lavender town. It was a several hour journey and Brandon tried to get some sleep along the way, but the thoughts of the 7 bodies the solider mentioned, made it so he only got about an hour sleep.

Finally, about 2am they arrived at Lavender town and the group dis embarked from the cargo ship and onto lavender town soil. Within seconds, everyone in the groups pokenavs, including his own, started chirping as it caught up on the missed messages from the mainland that it couldnt recieve on the islands. Brandon had messages from an old friend at school, something about a geodude. Brandon wondered how the kid had gotten his pokenav number as he had only given the number out to his mom and the group. He figured his mom must have given him the number. Brandon responded to the message from the friend and then sent a quick message to his Mom. "Hi Mom, Hope you are well. Been quite an adventure I have been having, I hope you are doing well and are in good health. I will see you when I get home from my journery. Love you!". After sending the message, he took a look around him at lavender city. The main thing in the city that stuck out was the death tower. Brandon took a picture of it in his pokenav, since who knew if they would ever be in lavender town again. Then Brandon let out his pokemon again and waited for the group to catch up on their messages and decide what to do next.

After being stopped by a military patrol, the group was told that the island was off limits. They ended up choosing to board a cargo ship heading for lavender town. As they approached, Rose sat off to the side on her own. Something made her feel uneasy as they got closer. She couldn't quite put her finger on what. At first she was concerned that maybe Dredd was nearby. Soon, when the ship docked she got hit full force by psychic energy, but not the same energy she felt from Dredd. She didn't know what this energy was. It almost felt like a psychic type Pokemon. As she focused, she realized it felt more like a lot of psychic type pokemon all clustered together. Still though, that didn't seem quite right either.

"Something doesn't feel right here..." Rose said to the others.

Kyo had tried sleeping once they were aboard the cargo ship. Underline tried. She actually hadn't slept at all and about midnight the white rocket had given up. It was a mix of everything that had happened the past few days catching up with her and a little bit of seasickness that had made the whole trip nearly impossible for Kyo. Seven bodies were found? Did that mean two of her existed now? Or something else? What exactly had the gods of Pokemon done when they had saved them? Nevertheless, it sounded like the worst had come to pass. Unless Ty had been stranded elsewhere, he was dead. Stacy was going to kill her. Kyo leaned her head out of the window of her room and sighed loudly. This had not been the outcome she had wanted when she wished the world anew. She still had no doubt that if she told anyone what she had been through they would believe her to be crazy. She didn't need that.

As soon as they were within service range, Kyo received a very cryptic message. Kyo stared at the picture of the casino and the message. Was that the Celadon Game Corner? Or somewhere else? Kyo wasn't sure. Nevertheless, this message bothered her for a variety of reasons. Firstly, how had someone even reached her? This should be a secure line! Kyo grit her teeth and angrily dialed a number. She was still talking on the pokenav when the ship docked.

"I don't care that it's two in the morning!" Kyo yelled over the line as she disembarked with the others. "You are going to trace this number and figure this out immediately. I am a first lieutenant! I should not be able to receive messages from possible threats! Do you understand the threatening potential to this? I don't care what you have to do, just fix it now!" Kyo hung up and sighed. She rubbed her head before looking at Rocky. "That sounds nice. I haven't stayed in a hotel in forever. But... can we afford it?" Kyo had just gotten a raise so she might be able to but... it'd probably stretch what money she had pretty thin depending on where they went.

Meghan looked off into the distance. Looming over the night skyline was the Pokemon Tower. Anyone who had ever last a pokemon had heard of the tower.

"Something doesn't feel right here..." Rose said to the others.

Meghan agreed with the sentiment. The small hair on the back of her neck stood up.
"For sure."

As the group got closer to the entrance to the town all of the had the hair on their bodies stand up. The cold chill rattled through the group. For Rose, the sense was stronger. She couldn't feel Dredd's dark energy but she could feel a powerful dark pokemon somewhere. It was an evil she had felt before but couldn't place her finger on it. The sorrow of this place made Rose slightly dizzy.

Rocky suggested the team find a nice hotel. However, as they walked into the city everything was closed. Most of the storefronts had barred windows. It seemed as if they had really shut down tight at night. In the distance, the dim light from a pokemon center could be seen. It looked as if the team would need to take shelter there for the night. As they walked through the town they passed a couple of the townsfolk there. The people walked almost in a trance not giving the trainers a second thought. Even the security station that had been set up to stop all trainers entering was left unguarded.

Meghan looked to the group.
"We don't fully know what has happened yet. Maybe for now we should just keep our heads down and stay out of whatever oddness is going on here. We also need to find out what happened on that island. We have friends there.." she said cautiously

Entering the pokemon center they found all the lights on but no one was around. The front desk was empty at first Meghan walked up and leaned over to look around. Then looked back and shrugged.
"Hello?" She said

Looking at Alice.
" Does no one watch their front desk?" she said sliding over the counter

Meghan poked her head into the back room half expecting another parrot pokemon. However, the search came up with nothing. Meghan made her way back only to see the Nurse standing directly behind the trainers.

"How can I help you children?" the Nurse said in somewhat of a haze.

"Would you happen to have any available rooms?" Meghan asked walking around the counter.

" Yes, all of the rooms are vacant." The said looking almost through the trainers.

The trainer all got to lead to rooms. Rocky and Brandon were in a room, Rose and Alice were in a room and Meghan and Kyo were in a room. Though it was hard for some of them to get any sleep once they did fall asleep they each experienced horrible nightmares about death. As if they had a shared dream each of them saw their pokemon dying and rotting away. Then they saw their family and friends fall victim to the same thing. Finally before the dream end stopped they all felt the same thing.
They were being pulled by a creature they didn't recognize into some kind of pit of hell! (Only Alice and Rose recognize it a little)

With that, they broke free and woke up all at the same time at 7 am.
