After a couple minutes, everyone had caught up on their messages and Rocky mentioned about possibly finding a hotel. The group was in agreement and began to search out a place to stay. Most places not only seemed to be closed, but barred up as well. Finally they found the pokemon center, which appeared to be the only place still open. They went inside and found, to their astonishment, no one at the counter. Meghan hopped the counter and started to search the back for someone, as soon as she hopped the counter, Brandon noticed a side door open and the nurse came out behind the group. When Meghan came back, the nurse asked if they needed help and Meghan asked if rooms were available, to which the nurse said ALL the rooms were vacant. As they started up the stairs towards where the rooks were located, Brandon had to withdraw Skipper back to his pokemon, he was simply too large for the staircase and small hallway. As he pushed the button on the pokeball, he said "Good night Skipper, see you tommorow buddy" . Then they were all shown rooms and as Brandon settled in to try get some sleep, Marshtomp, who with Skipper in his pokeball for the night, took over as the leader of the team for the night, arranged a schedule for guard duty, with him keeping watch for all but 2 hours of the night, the other two hours Primeape would keep watch. Then with that settled, most of Brandon's pokemon laid down and went sleep, the whole lot of them sleeping side by side, in the small, cramped room. After a little bit of tossing and turning, Brandon finally managed to fall asleep.

While he was alseep, he had the worst nightmare, ever. He saw all his pokemon suddenly get sick and die rapidly right before his eyes, no amount of antidote or potion seemed to work. Not even a full restore would make the pokemon better. As they each died one by one and Brandon felt hopeless, he began to cry and pray to god to help his pokemon. He cried, take me instead. Nothing worked and as it got down to the final 3 pokemon, Primeape, Marshtomp and Skipper, Brandon thanked them for their loyality, protection and love to him. He apologized that he couldn't save them and told them he love them. As he hugged each one last time, their bodies disintegrated and turn to ashes. Brandon horrified and crying like a baby, curled up into a ball, closed his eyes and sobbed.

He was not through yet though it seemed, for when he opened his eyes, he was at a hospital, his Mom, best friends and every person he cared about lay in beds around him. Brandon outright breaking down now, got down on his knees and begged god for forgiveness for whatever he had done to deserve this awful punishment and again asked for him to take him instead. After the prayer, sobbing and trying his hardest to speak between gasps and sobs said "Mo.... Mom.... ev... everyone, I lov...love yo..you all so.. so mu..much. I am sor...sorry I have fa..fa..failed you all an...and could...couldntnt pro...protect you all. I a... am so...s..so..soo sor..sorry. I... Love you!" and as he walked over to his mom to give her one last kiss, she said weakly "I love you Brandon, I always have and I always will. I am very proud of you son. No matter what happens to you in life, always remmeber that and always remmeber that I love... you." And with the last word, as Brandon kissed her, her body and everyone else's body disintegrated.

Then still not through the horrific nightmare, he was magically whisked to some dark place, eith some dark figure. As he stood there, prepared to face whatever might happen to him, he felt a huge draining feeling, as if the life were being sucked right out of him. Brandon knew he had to fight it, he had to go down fighting, he had to try. He resisted the force with every will power he could muster, risted with every fiber of his being and soul. Finally, after much painstaking struggle, he felt himself break free of the force.

Brandon snapped awake and sat straight up like a lightening rod, gasping and feeling himself to make sure he was truly alive. After a moment, he began to look around, still gasping and trying to catch his breath, he saw Marshtomp staring up at him from the side of the bed, looking both concerned and confused. He continued to look and study Brandon for another before asking "Marshtomp?" . Brandon finally realizing for sure it was just a nightmare, began to catch his breath and stop gasping. He hopped off the bed, landing on his knees with a small thump that woke up the rest of his pokemon, and crawled to Marshtomp and gave him a big, tight hug and repeating "I love you guys, I love you guys so much, I don't know how I would live without you". Marshtomp, trying to breath through the tight hug whimpered a soft "Marsh....tomp". Brandon quickly realizing the still relatively small pokemon couldn't breath released the pokemon from his hug. "Sorry Marshtomp, didn't mean for that to happen buddy. I just had a really terrible nightmare where terrible things happened to all of you and everyone I love. I just want you guys to know, I love you ALL VERY VERY very much and you all mean alot to me. No matter what happens, just always remmeber that, ok guys?" With that, Brandon sat down on the bed, stretched and prepared to get ready to start the day.

Rocky climbed into his bed. It was too small. He tossed and turned. Brandon was struggling to sleep and seemed to be having some sort of bad dream.

Eventually Rocky drifted into a another fitful sleep. This one was even worse than the boat.

Dreams came ... bad dreams... Rocky watched his Pokemon die and rot away to bones and then to dust. Then he saw his family die and rot away. Along with them, his trust fund withered and dried. He was left alone with no money and no comfort.

Finally as Rocky felt his own death approaching a large vision in Red and Black appeared. It was a monster, and evil creepy monster drawing Rocky to death.

Rocky woke from the horrible nifgtmare. He looked over and saw Brandon talking to his Pokemon.

"You have a bad dream too, Brandon?" he asked as he rose to try to shake off the after-effects of the nightmares.

He picked up Rusty and gave her a cuddle. The Lairon was getting big and even Rocky found it difficult to hold her off the ground. It was worth it for the extra security that he felt after a good cuddle with his Pokemon.

"Lets go start the day. I want to meet this breeder and ask them about this egg. Then I wouldn't mind leaving this town. Something seems ... off. You know what I mean?"

When they got into the city, something was clearly very wrong. Rose was now sure that there was some dark presence in the city. It clearly wasn't Dredd, but it still had her concerned. When they couldn't find a nice hotel like Rocky wanted, they settled for the Pokemon Center. Rose and Alice shared a room together.

Rose's eyes shot open. She wasn't in the Pokemon Center any more. She tried to sense her surroundings, but she couldn't. It wasn't that she was unable to: There was just nothing there. In all directions she could feel only emptiness. It felt very hot, as though there were flames all around her.

Suddenly in the space in front of her she could sense her Pokemon. One by one, they were engulfed in flames, being reduced to ashes and drifting away. "No!" Rose cried out., desperately trying to move towards them, but unable to get any closer.

"Rose..." She heard Alice's voice say her name, but couldn't see her anywhere. Suddenly the heat got more intense, and Alice's screams filled the air.

"Alice!" Rose called out.

"Help..." Another voice said. This time it was Kyo. From out of the darkness in front of her Rose sensed her stumble. Blood gushed from her stomach, as though she had been impaled. She came to within a few feet of Rose before collapsing, her body bursting into flames just like her Pokemon had.

One by one Rose watched the other members of her team die similarly, each death more gruesome than the last.

"Amirah..." Rose cried softly, holding the psychic type close as tears streamed down her face. Suddenly Amirah burst into flames, fading away in an instant.

Suddenly she felt herself falling. She was being pulled downwards into what she could only describe as hell. She could see the distorted image of some creature. Quickly she recognized it. It was the same Pokemon they had seen images of in Max's mind.

At exactly 7 AM, Rose woke up in a panic. She leaned forward, grabbing onto the side of her bed trying to hold onto something. In her panic, she accidentally knocked something off the table beside her bed. Slowly she calmed down as Amirah woke up, bringing her surroundings into focus. She was back in the Pokemon Center room. Her heart still racing, she laid back down in her bed. The dream had felt so real.

Rose saw that Alice had woken up too. "Sorry if I woke you up." Rose apologized, thinking that she must have woken her up with all the noise she made.

As Brandon sat on the bed, having a discussion with his pokemon about the nightmare, Rocky woke up and asked if he had a bad dream too. In the aftermath of the nightmare, Brandon had forgotten Rocky was in the room. Brandon replied "Yeah" and as he looked at the big trainer, sitting on the bed cuddling with his Lairon (which was a unique site for sure), he couldn't help but smirk a little. Rocky mentioned something about a breeder and wanting to get out of this town as much as possible. Brandon completely agreed "Heck yeah, I wouldn't spend another night in this town if you paid me to" then after a short pause said "Mind if I come with you to meet this breeder? I mean I dont claim to be a breeder or have much interest in breeding, but if it will get me out of this cursed, haunted town, I will go along for the walk". As he said this, he took out a granola bar and started munching on it, once he was done. He threw the wrapper in the trash, stood up, put his pack on and waited for Rocky to be ready to leave.

You didn't have to be a psychic to know something was wrong. Man she hadn't been lying to Admin Juliet when she said she and her friends always found trouble. As they entered the pokemon center, Kyo noticed that the Nurse Joy seemed to be a daze. She dismissed it as being tired, as it was early. Soon she and Meg were fast asleep in their room. But the sleep was anything but pleasant.

Kyo suddenly found herself thrust into a battlefield of sorts where all of her pokemon, friends, and family were out fighting. Kyo started to run after them but was frozen in place, unable to move. She watched in absolute horror as the scraggy she had caught not to long ago was slain first, his head sliced off before he dissolved into ashes. Her rented Starmie and Clefable were next. The Starmie's gem was crushed and the Clefable's wings sliced off, then both erupted into ashes. Next fell Hadur, her loyal shiny gallade was stabbed through the heart and collapsed, his ashes blowing in the wind towards Kyo. Zeme's leaf was sliced off and then each bud on her neck followed before the bayleef was beheaded as well, her body disappearing into ashes. Achyls tried to fight but she was stabbed several times before falling to the same fate. Morpheus stood strong in front of Kyo with Meowstic, but neither stood a chance against the darkness. They were swallowed, their bones spit out in front of Kyo. Kyo screamed in terror and began to tremble, flashes of the nightmare that no one remembered flickering in the background as the darkness began to consume her friends and family. Her mother, her father, Lucky, Rose, Meg, Rocky, Brandon, and Alice all fell victim. And then the trap that held her snapped and tentacles wrapped around Kyo's body. The ground fell away and Kyo stared helplessly into the darkness as she was dragged into Hell itself. She shivered, recognizing the presence almost immediately. It was that thing that Rose had almost summoned in the shadow world! Why was it here? What did it want with her? A loud screech echoed in her ears but before she could be devoured, Kyo awoke.

Kyo awakened in a sullen silence. She did not scream, she did not cry. She merely sat there, staring at the wall of her room. Kyo knew it was a dream as she replayed the events before her eyes, but that didn't stop it from terrifying her. Oh well, she didn't need sleep anyway.

There I was in the middle of a beautiful field of swaying grass. My pokemon played happily without concern. With Kaze let out a roar of pain I jumped up off the grass patch I had made for myself and ran over to her. I checked her frantically trying to make sense of what was causing her pain. When I couldn't find anything I plead to her
"Kaze, what's wrong...Please tell me what's wrong."

I watched in horror as she just collaspped and didnt get back up. It wasnt just her however as I turned to check on the others that had all seemingly fallen the ground dead. I stood there shaking as their bodies started to break down as if the world around me was being sped up. I closed my eyes telling myself it wasnt real it wasnt real. When it finally stopped I opened my eyes again and this time I was at the hosptial standing over my mothers death bed. I turned to look away but noticed the room was filled with beds. My whole family was in beds and I could hear that loud beep as they each started to fade. I ran towards the door and into the dark hallway. I ran until there was nothing but darkness. When I saw a red light in the distance I rand towards and stopped just short of some kind of edge into gateway into hell. Blood circled around some sort of bridge and a creature that was to big to describe waited

"Come to me Meghan! " It hissed


Meghan woke up at exactly 6 am screaming. She grabbed her chest as she felt her heart racing. She fell out of bed and scrambled to her hands on one of the pills in her bag. Desperatly she rushed choking down one of the pills before stopping and laying on the floor. Meghan looked over to Kyo's bed.

" I just had a horrible nightmare." Meghan said calming herself down.

She sat up and made her way to the edge of her bed looking at Kyo.
"I knew it was fake but it felt so real."

Kyo had been laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling when Meghan suddenly awoke screaming. She jerked upright and began to climb out of bed as Meghan took what Kyo assumed was a panic attack prevention pill. Kyo moved to sit down beside Meghan as she spoke softly. Kyo nodded in understanding.

"Me too. I've been awake for probably an hour because I don't want to risk experiencing it again. You want to talk about it? Though I'd understand if you'd rather not."

Rocky's reply seemed a little weird as he said to make sure he had his beedrill with him and then something about repopulating the weedle population of the area. Brandon replied saying "Yes of course I will have Beedrill with me, I always have all the pokemon in my team with me all the time". As Brandon finished saying it Beedrill, who was out his pokeball gave Brandon a confused, quizical look as if to say "Why does he think I wouldn't be with you and what does he think I alone can do about the weedle population?" . Brandon just shrugged and shook his head to say he had no idea.

Rocky went to go ask about breakfast and Brandon followed him, just hoping they could hurry up and get out of this town, as soon as possible.

There was definitely something weird happening in Lavender Town. Alice knew there were stories about Pokemon Tower being haunted but she hadn't expected the darkness in this town to be so obvious. After the creepy experience with the nurse in the Pokemon Center, Alice thought she might have trouble sleeping, but instead she drifted off almost immediately.

"Ack!" Plume called, but Alice couldn't see her. She was running through a forest, and Plume's cries, getting increasingly desperate, were echoing off the trees. Ack... Ack... Ack... Alice had to stop running. She didn't even know what direction to take anymore. She panted, clutching her knees. She had been running for hours... days... as long as she could remember.

"Plume!" she tried to cry, but her voice was gone, barely a whisper. And then she saw a light through the trees. Red, but bright against the darkening sky. The trees cast menacing shadows.

"Ack!" came the cry again, and Alice knew Plume was there, somewhere near that light. She took off again, and when she reached the clearing she found Plume broken on the ground, wings twisted in pain. The bird was silent, and above her a tornado of red and black. Alice dropped to her knees as the winds buffeted her body. She crawled toward Plume but the force of the tornado pushed her back, again and again, the boom of its laughter - laughter??? - pounding in her ears, drowning out Plume's ghostly cries, for the bird was clearly dead, but still screaming.

Alice wiped a hand across her face, surprised to find she was crying. She felt nothing, only anger. And suddenly the tornado spun faster but now it was dragging her in. Giratina called to her, still laughing, taunting. She clutched at the ground, trying to find something to hold onto, but there was nothing. Plume went first into the heart of the storm, flung into the red abyss, her cries finally falling silent. As she watched her Pokemon disappear into Girtina's gaping maw, Alice stopped scrabbling at the ground. Stopped fighting. And let go. She was dragged in, in and down, and then she was falling forever and ever and all the while Giratina laughed and Plume cried and all those she loved were dead but still screaming and she knew eventually she would go insane from it all and it would be the sweetest release she could imagine.

Alice woke suddenly, heard something clatter to the floor seconds later. Rose was sitting up in bed, slowly lowering herself back onto the pillow. Alice's heart was still racing from the nightmare. It wasn't a normal dream... it had been too real.

Rose apologised for waking Alice, but Alice shook her head, sitting up now. "Did you see it, too?" She asked Rose quietly. "Giratina?" Dredd was here, somewhere... Alice knew it. Giratina was watching them, taunting them. It was only a matter of time until they saw it again.
