I used to work on trying to learned Photoshop myself, even downloaded a whole list of brushes and effects to use. A week later my computer crashed and I lost all of them. So once I got a replacement laptop (my current laptop) a few years ago I kinda stopped trying to learn how to use it. Now I just use it for small edits. Either way I'm pretty slack when it comes to Photoshop now. I can use it, edit here and there, but it's nothing special like most banners/avy/sigs you'll see here. All it takes is getting use to it all again and finding what works best and keep at it for awhile....think I'll hold off though until I get my next computer since this one if barely holding on now lol.

On another note, the friend I invited to join turned traitor. He joined another team today. Guess that makes for an even better competition xD!



@Pokemon Trainer Sarah It looks perfect! Thanks Sarah! Sorry on late response, last few days have been pretty busy. One of these days I gotta start working with Photoshop again myself. Start learning how to make sigs/banners. I only ever made one good one really and forgot to save the file for editing and only saved the final product....and saw one small flaw on it. I forgot to erase one of the parts of the brush I used over the image I used in it. All part of the learning process I guess haha.

While I'm at it I guess I'll ask since it's my first WAR here. Is there currently an explaination of what's to be expected in each WAR section or is that given after it starts?

I'm glad you like the banner! And no worries about being busy. :) You should definitely start Photoshop again! I'd love to see what you can do! Haha I noticed Eri joined another team, but that's okay! The more people joining in the WAR, the better for PXR!

You can check out last year's WAR threads if you want some examples of how the sections might be run, but it really depends on the judges as to how they run things, so it might be completely different this year. Ok so here's the JFK conspiracy theory:
John F. Kennedy was the United States President who got assassinated in 1963. Due to the events in his presidency prior to this as well as many rumors, there are many suspects, the most common ones being the Vice President and the CIA, the Russians, the Mafia, and aliens. My theory actually revolves around the Mafia because despite 3 out of the 5 mafia families in America being Catholics, two are Jewish, which makes them likely culprits to kill Kennedy because he was Catholic not Jewish. On top of this, in 1961 there was an incident called the Bay of Pigs. It was pretty much an invasion of Cuba to try and free it from Communistic rule (that failed miserably). The Mafia in America had been making a lot of money with its casinos in Cuba, but the dictator forced the casinos to close. As a result the Mafia agreed to work with the CIA to get Cuba back in order. Since this failed, there's no doubt the Mafia was ticked about the loss of profits. On top of that, JFK had increased pressure to apprehend organized crime (aka the mafia) so the Mafia was losing many profits there as well.

In addition, in 1962 Marilyn Monroe was died of a supposed overdose. I say supposed because Monroe never really showed any reason to commit suicide. In fact, many think the CIA and/or the Mafia took her out because she knew too much. How? Well see, Monroe and JFK had an affair for a little while and Monroe kept a journal of everything the guys she was having affairs with said while they were doing business. The journal was never found after Monroe's death and there are numerous reports that Robert Kennedy (JFK's brother) was the first one to be informed of her death. He also is reported to have went to her estate soon after receiving the call. I don't think that's any coincidence.

Lastly, Robert Kennedy ran for president following his brother's death. However, while giving a speech, Robert Kennedy was assassinated. He also was pressing against organized crime and had been involved in many campaigns against the Mafia.

Now, let's look at Lyndon B. Johnson. He was the Vice President at the time and actually had the most to gain from the whole charade. See, JFK was planning to run again and there were rumors going around that he was going to replace LBJ. So LBJ had very little time to achieve being president and since he wasn't going to do well on his own without some show of his abilities, the best way to get his presidency was to kill the president. The CIA always wanted JFK out of office since the whole embarrassment with the Bay of Pigs. So it makes sense that they would be behind the whole scheme as well. However, they need another man to pull the trigger. See, it would be complete political turmoil if it came out that LBJ and the CIA took out JFK. So they hired to Mafia to take out the president and then LBJ took care of the coverup. It would also take massive amounts of money to fund said coverup, which the mafia very much had, and interestingly enough, pressures against organized crime went down during and following LBJ's presidency. Once again, that's not likely a coincidence.

Government surveillance isn't that well thought out but many of us are pretty sure the government is watching and listening on us through our webcams and audio devices that are built into our phones, cameras, computers, gaming devices, etc. It sounds crazy but I have found it interesting that the record light that lights up when I'm recording a video on my phone glows at night.

Lastly, the more recent one, is the AP US History exam. Earlier this school year, there was an uprising in theories going around about how the new APUSH class and textbook were teaching biased opinions to children. In Oklahoma back in February, APUSH was banned because of its teaching. Last Friday we had the exam and something that had never been done before happened. They gave us two different exams. This may not seem like a big deal but here's the thing, this is a national exam that is supposed to be tracking intelligence levels nationwide. How can they do that if they have two completely different exams? And when I say completely, I mean completely. On top of this, entire classes of students boycotted the exam, didn't even come. Now if you aren't suspicious yet, here's something interesting my friends and I found out yesterday. After polling the class, my friend and I discovered a few things:
1. The two different versions of the exam were distinct opposites. One (the version I had) was very very easy and allowed people to finish a lot quicker than those with the other exam. The other (my friend's version) was very very hard. It had documents that were up to a page long whereas my version had documents that were no more than three sentences long. Again, no big deal it sounds like except there was an odd trend in my classroom. The people who took an AP exam last year and made a 3 or higher got the easy exam (I made a 4 on my exam last year). The people who took an AP exam last year a made a 1 or 2 got the hard exam (my friend got a 1 and 2 last year on her exams). The people who didn't were evenly split. Two of the four got the hard exam and two got the easy. There's no way that was complete coincidence. I find it very suspicious and it may sound crazy but I know something is up here.

Well your theory on the Kennedy stuff sounds pretty reasonable... Who do they say did the assassinations? Or is it just unknown? :O

What kind of biased stuff were the exams teaching? Also why do you think they are giving different exams to different students?

This team is growing big and strong like bull! We should do a pre event before the WAR starts.

@Pokemon Trainer Sarah People say Lee Harvey Oswald did it. He was arrested and seen coming in and out of a building from which the shots were fired. However, three days later, Lee Harvey Oswald was shot when he was going to trial, another reason people think the Mafia was involved because the man who shot Oswald (I can't remember his name right now but his last name is Ruby I believe) owned several casinos and was known to have involvement in the Mafia. There's also the common theory that Oswald was just a proxy and that the real shooter was never found. Then there's the fact that the way the driver and JFK were shot, there's no way there was just one shooter. The angle at which the bullets come in are from different directions so if it was Oswald, he wasn't working alone. There's also a picture out there that shows a man with a gun pointed at Kennedy but it's hard to see so the evidence there is disputed.

I havent been able to test this and you wanted to see it....so testing my banner xD On a white background I may not see any artifacts...orz

The URPG is...somewhat roleplaying-ish. I say that because there's aspect of it that is RP but then there are some that aren't. You can go to the park to RP with a ranger to catch more Pokemon and add them to your stats and use them in future battles. There used to be a thing with RP battles but those were very difficult to ref. I'm sure @Pokemon Trainer Sarah remembers those.

The Pokemon for the URPG are at level 100 with max stats. All Pokemon and use their Level Up Moves right off; however, the TMs, HMs, Move Tutors, Breed Moves and Special moves have to be bought. Works just like in game.

The URPG hold different events all year long and yes have been a great part of the WAR since the very beginning. Actually the first WAR focused mostly around battling. Right now they are doing a Randoms Tournament where the participants Pokemon are randomly chosen from their stats.

It's something that everyone should definitely look into. It's difficult to start off but worth it in the long run.

Lol if that's all then I've got you covered. For years I've found I've never fit into a trainer class so my friends and I often come up with new trainer classes. My trainer class is the Moonlight Writer, hence my title.

That sucks that another community ruined it for another. A lot of our members are part time members as well. They mostly show up during the summer time when school is out. I, myself, come and go roughly every 2 years lol
