We're all in this together in the end, you know. :p When it all boils down to it it really doesn't matter.
It's not like our team chats are private anyhow ;p

Hope Trainer people don't mind if I drop in a little note here.
First off, your story was good, but I think you're being too hard on yourself. There were a whopping NINE Creative Writing submissions, so yeah, competition was very hot and you were up against a lot of people. Also, like I said, these were not easy to judge.
I don't know what to say, vagueness is just hard to digest when it comes to reading. If it's used when a character is trying to search, learn, explore, or discover something, then it's used well and the timing works appropriately because the reader is discovering as the main character is discovering. When it comes to the main character themselves, it's a risky thing to do, because the reader is left wondering who or what they're reading about and when they find out and it wasn't what they thought it was, it forces them to have to backtrack because later down the line, it could confuse them when they apply what happened in past events to what happens in future events. I just feel having the main character revealed as a Leafeon wasn't something that had to be reserved for later. If it had been something like a horror story and the vagueness and ambiguity was used to cloak the fact they were the killer or were responsible for something disastrous that they didn't even realize, that's using the vagueness and ambiguity well because secret plot twists and things like that need to be kept hidden until they're ready to be deployed to surprise the reader.
As for the way the story jumped through the passage of time, it wasn't bad what you did, but I just don't think it worked as well and maybe could have been done as a flashback or something like that. It kind of left me wondering what had happened in between and made it a little tricky to get up to speed again.
But overall, please don't be hard on yourself. You've got great writing skill and a strong capability to earn points in future weeks.
We do mind! You stole charmander from us you thieving gypsy. Said you gave her sad puppy eyes. Always one villian clan and it has finally revealed itself!
PB will never be welcome in these most sacred halls.
Next time you come around here!

Spoiler:
Well the results are rolling in, my friends. And the number one thing to remember is not to feel disheartened. I know it's easy to feel that way if you don't win or do as well as you hoped, but there is seriously stiff competition out there! o_o You guys have all done amazing this week and I am so proud of you! <3
Bummer Noble! I really liked your story! Don't worry though, there was a lot of competition o.o You still did really well and got a seriously high score!!! :D
Shoutout to our Showdown crew who earned us a point! Well done you guys! I can't tell who actually battled since it wasn't posted, but you're all awesome! And a shoutout to Wander who apparently battled the most for our team! :D *confetti*
It looks like PB are the team to beat! They happen to have at least one member who is very strong in every contest, so if we wanna win, it's gonna be tough! But we can definitely still do it. :) Most of all, I don't want anyone to feel pressured though. This is all for fun in the end. If you don't feel like entering something, maybe you can just encourage your team mates instead!
I might try and jump into the RP even though I have no idea what to do. xD
And remember, if you want help or advice for any of week 2's contests, don't be afraid to post here or contact me or any of your team mates! :D
So like the bored over achiever that's waiting for it to be midnight that I am, I've already entered my joke for this week's humor section and I'm working on my creative writing piece. Gotta thank Imagine Dragons for the inspiration for the story because I thought of it while I was listening to their playlist on YouTube.
Now that I think about it I could be working on Tri-Kappa Labs right now but I'm on a roll right now! Though I fear this entry might get docked points because we're pretty far in and I still haven't even introduced the superhero part yet. It's coming, but I need to introduce the four main characters first!
Yeah you have fun with that Sarah while I stay over here on another site in a more lax roleplay where I'm taking over the world and yelling at a guy that he's flying the spaceship wrong! ADVENTURES!!
Also, fair warning, my internet is being testy lately so if I don't come on for several hours at a time… well that's why.
Haha that sounds fun! I think I might make a basic RP where everyone is a Pokemon and we're going on a quest, after WAR is over. Think you might be interested? It will be really relaxed and casual. :DYeah you have fun with that Sarah while I stay over here on another site in a more lax roleplay where I'm taking over the world and yelling at a guy that he's flying the spaceship wrong!
