@Rival Max I'm sure no one has an issue with the fact you said they'd take longer to grade. The problem is with the "one week" rule to begin with. And I'm going to say it isn't very fair that you edited it out without consulting anyone. Those members took the time and effort to write their journals WHILST the rule was already in place. I think anything before you posted should be counted as being held to the one week rule. So Neo, Jacob and Sam, right?

If you had to post in the first place saying you'd need more time to grade, then perhaps we need more graders? I know this is open for consideration now, so that's a step forward. c: We'll work it out, soon.

Lunar I'm going to say what I've said pretty much all of yesterday. Points from the old system will be honored. They are not victims of a crime. Everyone who posted including myself put in the time. I know this because I had to write mine in between all my working and it was tough. The current journal thread is going to be closed and those can be graded will be graded everyone else will get an update withe points.
Everyone can wait. No one is dying for those points at this exact moment.

I'm not picking an argument, I was just saying as the head of GCEA you need to consider your members before you pull something like that randomly. That's all! I hope we can work out the journals soon. :D

Meanwhile I'm waiting for my Pokebank post to get accepted so I can post again. xD

You don't have to have stuff aporoved in the Pokebank to post. It just needs to be up to date for gym battles.

OH. I read somewhere that you couldn't use the Pokemon until it was approved, so I thought that meant AT ALL, not just for battles. My bad. xD Thanks, Sarah!

Ok so I've been reading over a bit and all with the whole situation recently regarding the journal entries and the points thing. Honestly I know it may be taking longer and yeah, jobs and real life get in the way and all...but my personal thinking is. I'm glad you're at least honoring the "old rules" where you will hand out the 15 points if not graded within a certain point of time. If something was written in the rules stating you get points after a certain period for it not being graded, then there shouldn't be a problem handing them out (rule revisions are common and always needed, but if it's thrown out randomly because of time frames it's alright, but still should be honored so that "next time" it won't happen). Since being removed to make way for a new system, see? It shouldn't pose a problem

Heck, I may not have had a part in it, but I still feel it'd be kind of....ehhh, not fair to those that submit it and wait only to be thrown aside randomly saying "sorry, rules suddenly changed mid submission." If it's changed mid-submission then the current rules should still stand until the grades are handed out post new rulings. That's just my two-cents though.

I mean I may not have any say-so or be staff in GCEA or whatnot, but whatever. I think there definitely needs to be more help behind grading in case it becomes harder or time just isn't manageable for some during certain periods of time. Have certain people each week schedule when they could grade for what day ahead of time/day. Have a certain number of people set for THOSE days. Make sure to have a schedule every new week or month (events depending). Any feedback you hear should definitely be taken into consideration. Your staff is there to help, not fight you D=.

I mean I can see where some of the slight tension (if you even wanna call it that) is coming from. If you need extra help, that's exactly what you hired on these staff for in this section. Use them! Not everyone can be available at all times to help and yeah, life outside the forum and jobs/family/and all come first, but when there's a whole backing of staff at the ready to help out then make use of them! Take to talking more with them and set things out. Maybe make a thread (if there's even a staff section, which I'm sure there has to be for GCEA) to list "ungraded entries" and when due date is. That way each staff member is aware of it needing grading and can be complete on-time by anyone available.

I really don't mean anything bad by this or to start anything, but any advice I could see from this situation I offered. Feel free to accept it or deny it, it's alright. I just wanted to try and help settle what I saw that didn't quite bode with me well is all if that's fine Max. I just hate seeing something not go over right and something end up making things come across wrong. The GCEA stuff should be run as a team where every little bit of feedback is accepted and not turned away quickly or anything. It's what the "team" is for. So you aren't trying to do everything by yourself or with Sarah.
