*Hope I am on the right track with this, kinda still trying to figure this all out... the side event that also happens to be our main story for the moment. If I mess up or conflict with a story line of yours Max, feel free to GM/edit this to fit how you need it*

Brandon hadn't recalled falling asleep, but he awoke with a start after a really REALLY bad nightmare. He saw an orange glow in the sky and then heard Meghan yell suddenly "We got to go!" and then others waking up with a start and yelling different things. There were some Abras that they could catch. Brandon reached down to his belt and found what should be Skipper's pokeball, he hoped they still had their pokemon. He wasn't too sure exactly what was going on. He unclipped the pokeball from his belt and released the pokemon within. It was indeed his Skipper inside, Brandon sighed a sigh a relief and then pointed to one of the Abras and said "Alright buddy, let's get us one of these Abras", then with that Skipper charged at the Abra and tackled it, he then held the Abra firmly in place while Brandon threw a pokeball at it.

Things began happening quickly, they left the base and followed Meghan until they came upon a huge fire with people screamingc for help. Meghan yelled for Alice, Rose and Brandon to help people out, Brandon released Marshtomp from his pokeball to stand alongside Skipper, he told Marshtomp to use watergun to start containing the fire, he told Skipper to use his influence on fire to keep the fire in place and prevent it from spreading as best as he can. Alice and Rose said they were going to the city with or without him, he couldn't leave the 2 of them to go to the city by themselves, if somethinf happened to either Rose or Alice he would never forgive himself. He yelled to them "I'm coming, be right behhind you". Then he yelled to Skipper and Marshtomp who begun doing whatever they could to contain and subdue the flames "Come on guys, we're going to the city, follow me, spray as you go if you want" with that, he pulled his shirt over his nose, tightened the straps on his pack and followed Alice and Rose, his pokemon directly behind him, Marshtomp spraying water on the flames as he went. He hoped things weren't about to go from bad to worse. He wondered what they would find when they got to the city. He guessed they would find out soon enough.

As they moved along, a boy shouted to help his Mom and pointed to a pile of rubble that was once a building, it still had some structure to it and the person who needed rescue was on the second floor. Alice and her pokemon got to work doing what they could. Alice shouted at Brandon and Rose asking if they could handle the rescue, Brandon knew he had a couple pokemon with him that could help. He already had Skipper and Marshtomp out, he let Mankey out of his pokeball, Brandon then said to the 3 pokemon "Skipper, Marshtomp, Mankey, you three think you can move some of these rocks and clear me a path through this rubble?" the 3 pokemon nodded and then immediatelly began moving rocks as careful and fast as they coule. Brandon turned to Rose "You don't have to go in there and get them if you dont want to, I think I can handle them on my own, my pokemon are pretty strong and can help if needed, however, if you have any pokemon that can help move some of these rocks that would be a big help to us". He didn't want Rose to have to go in there if she didn't want to, he could handle the rescue himself if he had to. Brandon reached into his pack and pulled out a very long legnth of rope, a flashlight and his pocket knife. He then took some of the rope, tied one end around his waist, he then tied the other to a beat up street light pole nearby. He then told Alice and Rose "If anything happens, if I get stuck, lost or buried under there, this rope will help me find my way back, I don't expect you guys to try and help me if that does happen, but if you decide to, just follow the rope and you should come across me at some point". At this point all the pokemon who had heen working to clear a path, between Alice's and Brandon's managed to clear a path into what was left of the structure. Brandon then flicked on his flashlight, and moved into the structure, in search of the person who needed rescuing. Behind him, although he haden't told or instructed them to, his pokemon followed him in. They were not going to leave their trainer no matter what!

Brandon moved a little deeper into the ruined building, he noticed his pokemon and Rose had followed him. He began shining his flash light arojnd the walls, looking for a staircase. Suddenly he hear loud noises that seemed to come from outside the building, then moved at the building. A moment later the building shook a little and the calls for help seemed. He heard pokemon calls and sounds. The building was still vibrating a little bit, he listened close for any sound of the woman, he could not hear her at all. He wasn't sure how stable the building was, nor what those sounds were. Was Alice in trouble? They needed to get out of that building and back to Alice as soon as possible. Brandon turned to Rose "We need to get out of here, NOW! I am not sure what that shaking was, but the building might be unstable, plus I thought I heard pokemon calls. Alice might be in trouble, we got to go NOW!" At this he grabbed Rose's arm and ran as fast he could the way they had come, he could hear his pokemon rushing to keep up with them behind them. As they approached the exit, Brandon slowed down and called to Skipper "Skipper! You, Marshtomp and Mankey should go first, if there is any pokemon out there, or if Alice needs help, to whatever you have to do to help her and take care of the pokemon, we will be right behind" Skipper came up to him and nodded. Then he began to converse and make hand gestures with Marshtomp and Mankey, they made a triangular formation and made their way slowly through the exit and outside, Brandon followed them, a few steps behind. Within a couple seconds Skipper and the rest of Brandon's pokemon were outside, he heard Skipper growl and make a threatening "CHARMELLEON!" sound, Brandon rushed out the entrance, let go of Rose's arm, untied the rope from around his waste, took out his pocket knife and switched out the blade. He saw a Alice next to a trainer, Skipper stood growling at the trainer and ready to converge if he showed any sort of threaten stuff towards Alice. Brandon shouted at Alice "Alice! Alice! Are you ok? Do you need any help? I heard loud noises, pokemon calls and something shook the cave!" he wasn't sure what was going anymore, so he figured he would just give the whole summary.

*wow this story is really going fast, sorry about the lack of replies guys... My work schedule combined with school is crazy! I usually like to be detailed and fully catch up, but this time I am going to cut it short and sweet*

Brandon and the group were transported by Alakazam to yet another location, this time he believed it was nesr the gym. The other trainer seemed to be on his side, he discovered after a short time. The group came across what appeared to be undercover team rocket grunts, they were loading a helicopter, Meghan had a plan to stop them. The other trainer, whose name appeared to be Jacob and Rocky would distract the grubts, then Brandon, Meghan and someone else would go and move stuff on the helicopter. Jacob asked if Brandon had any sort of eye protection, Brandon rummaged through his survival pack, found a pair of safety goggles, he put then on as he nodded yes to the question. Then Brandon let out the rest of pokemon, asked them if they were ready, to which they eagerly replied to in their language with YES! If it was team rocket, they were always ready. His pokemon seemed to have grown a hate at the wanna be criminal group almost as much as he had. At this point, Brandon tightened the strap of his pack, put his pocket knife in his pocket, zipped up his sweater and said "Let's do this!".

The Abra could sense something in Rose as she approached it. It had felt drawn to her, and the group of psychic types seemed to want to help them. Rose gently touched the Abra with a pokeball, calling it insidevbefore immediately releasing it again. "Thank you." She spoke to it in a soft tone. She had mostly recovered from the dream she had just awoken from, but she knew the nightmare would be the least of her worries.

With the Abras in tow. Meghan lead the group quickly through route 25. Sadly they didnt have a chance to make there way over to bait and tackle shop. Meghan remembered it for a fleeting second as they bolted across the route. 25 minutes pasted quickly as they made to the entrance of the massive bridge. When they reached the bridge they could now see the dark black smoke and red glow enveloping the city.

"We'er almost there." Meghan called out.

" Everyone stick together.." She called out running ahead towards the city. As they continued over the bridge they noticed a wave of towns people. Calling out for help. The confused and towns folks walked in a daze out of the cloud of smoke.

"Keep your eyes open for Team Rocket!" Meghan called out. Worried that this was there doing.

The team rushed over. Alakazam rushed out in front holding a strange device.
*I am searching there thoughts and it seems to be more than just team rocket...However...I am picking up something out there.*
Alakazam paused for a moment then teleported away.

Meanwhile Jacob rushed out into the street. The streets were covered in a red haze. Citizens run past him as he walked.

*JAAACCCOOOOOOBBBBBB* a sinister voice said piercing his thoughts.

Jacob had been exposed to high amounts of dark energy and been through his share of psychics however nothing that he had experienced could have prepared him to what he could only relate to the purest shadow energy he had ever felt. He looked around for the voice but saw nothing. The shadow energy was overwhelming. (@comatose youll be teleported out of Emerald) Luckily he had Gwaine.

A couple of grunts wondered out of the smoke waving there hands.
"He is out of control."

"Will someone please get experiment III on the line..He is completely off the plan." The man called out.

At this point almost every citizen in Cerulean City had fled.

I heard the voice, and turned around, slashing the machete. However there was nobody there. Then I heard another voice, talking about Experiment III. Was that me?

The shadow energy was unbearable. I called out Gwaine. He emerged from the pokeball as if all was normal. Then he saw it. All the energy. Everywhere. Within seconds, his blades extended and he began to flow, repelling the shadow energy close to us. However it was still there.

"Let's hide." I said, "I am not sure what we are dealing with, but I want to find out."

We made our way behind a falling building, waiting for the source of the voices to make themselves present.

Meg didn't wait any longer. Alice was forced to follow the rest of the group as they ran toward the nugget bridge and Cerulean City. She stayed near the back. She felt betrayed by Meg's decision to fight even though Alice had told her of the vision of Max. The pain stung, reminding her of similar times that she had felt let down during her childhood. She focused on running and tried to push the thoughts away. Plume ran by her side, surprisingly fast. The Abra she had captured floated along with ease.

When they reached the bridge, smoke filled the air and waves of townspeople seemed to be fleeing something, calling for help. Suddenly Alakazam sensed something and then disappeared. Alice felt the urge to turn around and go back to Max's base. This was not their fight. It couldn't be. But she knew her protests would fall on deaf ears.

Instead she waited silently for Meg to decide what to do next.

Meghan stood there shocked that Alakazam vanished. She then snapped back to it.
" Alice, Ill need you Rose and Brandon to use your pokemon to clear a path at the edge of the city and help people get out. Rocky, you and I will use are ground types to help at least keep the smoke and flames from reaching the tall grass and the bridge!"

"Mosby come out! Tidus I need you two!"
She called out releasing the pokemon.
"We need to break about some dirt and start cutting over the spread the fire! "

"Tidus give them some water support!"

Alice, Brandon and Rose saw the smoke and could hear voices calling out for help. To the west they noticed hundreds of small lights down route 4 people were fleeing all over the place. A crowd of people had pushed past them on the bridge heading north. A young voice called out from one of the buildings. Catching their attention.

meanwhile!

Jacob found a place to hide. He noticed a group emerge from the smoke running around. With bags of stuff.

The group seemed to be looking for someone.

"No! this is not what the boss wanted! He had orders..." One shouted coughing.

"At least we got are hands on the mega stones..it the cities vaults...its just...Dr..Experiment III is insane. What did the boss do to him.."

"Yeah did you see the pokemon he is using..they look half dead!" the last one called out.

The group noticed a woman stumble out of the building.

"No one can know we are hear!" The first grunt said.

Jacob felt the presence again..the dark thoughts flashes back. He could feel the ground shaking and in the distance he saw the outline of Groudon. The terror welling up inside as he heard people crying out. He flashed back to the moment only to hear the voice again.

*Youuu dont belong heree....You have come all this way to cause more people to die...*The sinister voice said still no where to be seen.
