There was a moment of silence as Alice and Rose stood there looking this man. The man took a step forward. Still not saying anything.

*You are familiar to us, we can tasted your energy before. We know everything about thing about you. We know that your curiosity will end up causing your family pain, Alice. As for you little one..I could rip your other senses right out of you. * He finally said telepathically

Alices hand began to shake as she no longer had control of it. It pulled away from the pokeball.

*We're here but why?* The sinister voice continued a little confused. He looked around but focused back on Misty

* We were created in pain, we were set free to cause pain but I....I am still not fully aware as to why.*

He paused in his head shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy,shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy, shadow energy,shadow energy

The words kept repeating over and over all around. As if he was screaming it out loud the girls could hear inside his its thoughts ( He is something unhuman so youll see me post he, it, we or I because its not just person necessarily)

He fell to his knees grabbing his head.

* Both of you want to see the light dont you?* He said standing back up this probable sounded insane but at this point neither trainer could move.

* The "Shadow Energy" You are asking for in your thoughts is the light..but its not just a light it is nothingness...it absolute ...it is without life.*

Alice and Rose stood helplessly as purple liquid started to pour in from all over. The ceiling above them start to crack as if flooded in. It reached there knees quickly and kept rising the dark purple liquid felt cold, and brought a strange void of helplessness.

The man walked past.

*Now you can join me..Once your soul is extinguished you are free of this burden.* He said pausing his hand shaking.

There was something very wrong the creature seemed to be in pain. It looked up now close enough to see the dead dark purple eyes.

* No, no no!* He shouted out.

*The Rockets are ruining my moment!* He said storming past them quickly disappearing. As if the ground opened blew them they dropped down into the liquid and went under it. For a second just a second they could each have just simply died. But than the fire came. This was no peaceful surrender. For the briefest second they had felt there soul dying and the pain was unlike anything they felt. The two quickly swam up breaking free of the grasp. There bodies still shaking they lay there and open there eyes. there was no liquid to be around. They had been laying on the floor Misty still laying there ahead of them not moving. ( She is not dead :P )

Despite him being gone the two didnt have much time to recover as the building began to crack and shake.

The two looked up to see the wall being broken appear. The dark Geodudes werent natural they would need to stop this before parts of the building came down.

Meanwhile on the outside Jacob cleared through most of the grunts with ease. Meghan didnt even notice as she battled just the one.

Meghan rushed over to the newly evolved Nidoking. "Great Job Pins!" She smiled " You to two Mosby! Lets go help ...Jac...cob.." She paused as the grunts fled the battle field. The area seemed pretty clear. The last remaining grunts vanished.

"How in the world.." she said looking at the obviously stronger trainer. "Geez pal..I hope with some training I can be as strong as you one day!" She smiled (Hoenn reference..Meg is the strongest battler on the planet!)

Rocky and Brandon had successfully gotten a hold of the crates but paused as the sandstorm died down at first it seemed all clear. The team stood there looking around it all seemed way to easy. Finally in the distance it was clear that it wouldnt be that easy.

From the shadows of the smoke and ash the army poured out surrounding them. This must have been the full force.

One of them step forward.
"This whole thing is a goddamn is a mess. Experiment 3 really botched this up!" The grunt said looking at the group.

One of the grunts stepped forward.
" You bas***d set him lose..the damn guy is crazy.." He paused looking around his hand shaking

'Dredd...said he was going to devour our souls.." another stuttered

The lead one growled
"Do NOT call him that.. it is Experiment 3 and we have control of it." His attention moved back to the trainers.

"Armatures ...I swear...As for you four..We really cant let you leave here. However we are in need of some volunteers for a special project." As the man talked Alakazam looked to Gwaine and the other Abras who had stayed a close distance. With out requesting the trainers were teleported away from the battle area. They dropped down ten or so feet away...Then just like that hell itself broke loose. The ground below the huge circle of grunts without warning opened up. Instantly half the grunts were sucked into the sandpit. IN the center of the pit the largest Onix anyone had ever seem came spiralling out.

The massive black onix grolwed loud enough to scare off the pokemon in the surrounding routes.

Next fire shout down all around the grunts blocking them in.

Out of the hole came more of the dark pokemon. Jacob and his team knew this pokemon well but these ones were different than the ones in hoenn. The energy was much more pure.

The shadow pokemon immediately started to attack the trainers and the pokemon.

The other half who tried to escape met there own gruesome fate. The building across from them without reason came down

In the center of all of the horror stood just one figure. Who seemed more curious by all of the destruction. The man stood in rocket gear but was not a part of team rocket. As he walked through the destruction he found the man who was the leader. With just a simple flick of his wrist the mans body started to shake and life of the ground and he quickly fell back. Had he just lost his soul...

Meghan and the others could only watch in horror.

"We..We..have to stop this...those grunts.." She paused still completely taken back.

"We cant let them die like this..they are trash ..but even they dont deserve this." She looked to the others pausing on Jacob.
"Have you ever seen anything like this.."

Alice felt herself lose control of her body. A voice filled her mind, saying horrible things. She couldn't move. This was a mistake, was all she could think. Max was right...

Soon purple liquid was pouring in from the ceiling. Was this the shadow energy? Alice knew she would be consumed. She struggled to regain control of her hand, just a hand... just enough to reach into her pocket... but it was no good. The liquid filled the gym quickly... over her knees... up to her waist... and it kept coming. She would drown here...

And then suddenly the creature shouted and disappeared. But the liquid kept coming. Alice plunged downward into the purple goo. It was freezing and terrible. There was nothing she could do... But her body wouldn't give up. She struggled, wanting to breathe. I can move... she realised. The thought made her fight harder. She broke through the surface, and struggled out onto the gym floor. She looked desperately for Rose. Misty lay behind her, unmoving. Before Alice could reach her, the building began to shake, debris tumbling from the roof. Two Geodude were tearing the gym apart, but they were strange-looking... darker... Alice wondered if these were the Shadow Pokemon that Jacob had told her about.

She found her pocket, grabbed a ball at random. Jedi appeared. She seemed dazed. She looked around the gym in confusion, her sick held defensively before her.

"I need you now," Alice said, her voice hoarse. "Can you take down one of those Geodude?

The Braixen let out a battle cry, flinging her stick through the air. One of the Geodude was hit and it spiralled down to the ground. Up close, it was even more frightening. Its red eyes stared unseeingly at Jedi.

Despite winning the match, she seemed to be seriously injured. Alice looked over at Rose, who had just fought off the other Geodude. She was glad to see that she was alright.

((Rose panic attack mode activate.))

Rose began to tremble to a point that it may have been painful had her adrenaline level not been so high. "N-no..." She squeaked. the man, whatever he or it was, was coming closer. She slammed her hands over her ears, trying to block out the man's speech, but the voice was inside her head. "A-am-mirah!" She called out, desperately searching for help, but the psychic type was as powerless as she was. She launched to her feet as the liquid began to flood in, tears streaming down from her eyes. As the liquid touched her skin, her terror began to fade into something else; resignation. She felt completely helpless. "Why did we come back..." She repeated over and over in her head. The liquid rose further and soon she was completely covered.

Suddenly the pain started. She opened her mouth to scream, but the liquid flooded in, causing her to sink further, and making her feel as though she was burning from the inside out. Frantically she flailed her arms about, trying to find the surface, but the pain was unbearable. But although it felt like an eternity, it had only really been a moment. Her eyes shot open, and her senses came back. Despite this, she frantically felt for the floor, not paying attention to any of her surroundings. Still shaking with fear, she crawled over towards the wall, sitting with her back against it, hyperventilating with terror.

The building began to shake, and suddenly something came bursting into the room. It was two shadow Geodude. Rose was still completely in shock. One of the geodude began to charge at her. She sat there, trying to back herself up more despite the fact that she was right up against the wall. The Geodude was getting close and showed no signs of stopping. "GO AWAY!" She screamed, taking out one of her Pokemon's Pokeballs and throwing it carelessly at the shadow Pokemon, causing it to hit the ground and do nothing.

Rose let out a scream as the geodude's fist came flying towards her. Suddenly, at the last second possible, a field of some sort appeared in front of her. "Ching!" Rose's partner called out, hovering right behind the field. Rose took another one of her Pokeballs and tossed it forward. This time the ball landed button down, releasing the Pokemon inside. It was her Parasect.

Behemoth led Rocky directly to the crates. Rocky Picked it up. I was heavy, but no heavier than the equipment and Pokemon Rocky was used to carrying at the Canalave gym.

"Nice work, Behemoth!" Rocky said to the Hippopotas. "Now guide me out of here before anyone finds us."

Behemoth had taken two steps when suddenly the smoke, sand and wind all stopped. Rocky looked around, his cover was compromised, had anyone seen him.

...Yes, about a hundred, Rocket grunts were very close and looking unhappy about Rocky picking up their crates.

"Time to run!" He called running back away from the grunts with Behemoth and Professor Needles by his side.

Suddenly he felt something tugging at him and he was teleported a small distance away to watch what he could only describe as an arena of evil.

Strange Pokemon, distorted by some fel energy emerged and attacked the Rocket grunts. A building fell on a large group of the grunts. The distorted Pokemon were tearing into the Grunts. Rocky had to look away, it way too grotesque.

He closed his eyes and tried to block out the noises until Meg spoke up.

"We..We..have to stop this...those grunts... We cant let them die like this..they re trash ..but even they dont deserve this."

"Have you ever seen anything like this.."

Rocky took off his Backpack and searched for his Golden ticket to the Kanto tournament. "May I please point out, this ticket included entry into the tournament, a tour of kanto and training with the champion of my choice. It doesn't say anywhere, 'Put your life in danger the fighting against horrific distorted Pokemon abominations in order to save violent criminals.' If the ticket had said that, I probably would have stayed at home and got a job managing one of my family's companies. How about we get the police to deal with this..."

Rocky stopped as he felt something... wrong... radiating from his Pokeball pouch. He opened it and and pulled out Speedy's ball. He dropped it almost immediately. It felt ... well, evil was the only description that came to mind. A strange shadowy energy seemed to eminate from the ball.

"Seriously, what is happening. It's as if we were ... hang on... is there any chance that I am still asleep and dreaming all of this? What were those berries we put into the meal last night?

"I will let you in on a little secret Meghan. In my world, you are a few years older, but you are one of the best battlers the world has ever seen." I said, "When I first met you, you battled alongside Rayquaza, and saved a city from a rampaging legend..."

Then the s*** hit the fan. Again. More grunts appeared and we were soon teleported.

What we witnessed was a massacre, all orchestrated by one man, who with the flick of a wrist, was able to kill someone. His Pokemon were corrupted, but beyond anything I had ever seen at home.

When Meghan asked if I had ever seen anything like this, I was not sure how to answer.

"This is new. These pokemon are corrupted far beyond the normal. And as for that psychic, I have never seen anything like it." I said quietly, "We are going to need a miracle. Back home, we you and Max ended up being the miracles when the s*** hit the fan."

I looked at the chaos that was before us. Even with my light type, chances are we would all be killed before. We could do anything.

I had a thought for a second. This isn't my world. I could walk away, here and now, and let them protect themselves. However I immediately dismissed it. I may never return to my world. And if I was able to travel here, other people might be able to travel there. This had to end... now.

My hands shook from fear, and I struggled, but I stepped forward. Though the idea of dying scared me, I knew I had to face this.

"If I die here..." I said, "Please find a way to let my friends and family back home know what happened."

I continued to look at the opponent we were soon going to face, before turning to Meghan.

"Meg, if you want to leave, I won't think any less of you. I know you are destined for incredible things, and it would be a waste for you to die here." I said, "But honestly, I've got nothing. No plan. No secret weapon. I am just hoping for a miracle."

There is a lot to go over. Please bare with me, my story telling can get a little sloppy.

Inside the gym Rose and Alice beat back the two shadow pokemon. (Remember you pokemon are poisoned now and will pass out. @Brettles you might want to edit out the shadow Rattata remember it will be out of your control since it will be level 40. I am thinking poisoning peoples pokemon is not sound idea just having them faint is enough.)

Once the two were gone they would need to get Misty out asap. The building around them started making sounds like it was going to come down on them. They wasted no time getting her out. By the time they reached the outside Misty started to come to.
"...He has come for us...Run.." her voice faint said looking around.

" I failed to save Cerulean City." She said weakly looking at the city. Further up the road the sounds of screaming caught there attention.

On the other end Meghan just stood there in shock. Rocky joked about it nervously completely ignoring what was happening. Where as the Trainer Jacob addressed the situation head on. Meghan looked over at Jacob.
" I am not leaving....and Im a little confused what you meant about me in Hoenn but that will have to wait on that one." She said turning her attention to Rocky and Brandon.

"Jacob is right.. if you want to get out of here now is the time." She said calling out her pokemon.

" The dark pokemon are unlike anything I have seen.." She said looking at Rei's pokeball. The now fainted pokeball looked pretty sick.

"If they hurt your pokemon..They will get sick." She growled. "So we need to make this quick."

Meghan started back towards the man. Her hand shaking.
" Leave them alone." She called out

Heracross kicked up some dirt
"Cross!!!"

The mans attention turned towards them. He let out a low whistle and his pokemons attention turned away from the Rocket Grunts who were mostly in really bad shape. Some were able to get away.

*Fine then...* it called out into their thoughts.
* Give us a real match..*

The shadow Pokemon saw us, and began their charge. Even though I knew that this was going to be painful and probably lethal, I felt an insane enjoyment of the situation. As if, if I were to die today, this would be it. I felt myself burst into laughter.

As my team fell, I quickly called them back. I now stood alone. But I was proud. I had taken down nearly half of them. The last time I was in this situation, against less corrupted Pokemon, I couldn't even stop two.

Rocky was gladdened to her Meg say, "Jacob is right.. if you want to get out of here now is the time."

Rocky looked at the other trainers. "Are you guys all crazy? Yes it's time to leave. This is a job for Gym leaders, the elite 4 or the region champion. Not a bunch of brand new trainers. Come on follow me, lets get out of here."

Rocky turned, hoping that the others would follow and started to walk away from the battle scene.

'Not my job, stupid psychotic outsider looking to die! Don't ask me to join you!' Rocky thought angrily as he walked away.

He heard sounds of battle behind him and he turned to see Jacob run out and take on a trio of attacking Pokemon abominations. He could take care of himself he didn't need Rocky's help. Rocky was right to leave, this was way above his ability and training.

The he saw the earth crack and a large shadow Nidoking swatted Jacob's final Pokemon to the ground. The trainer was helpless.

Years of football training kicked in! His team was in trouble and it was up to the Canalave superstar to save the day.

"Look out!" Rocky roared as he charged in. He knocked Jacob to the side before the Nidoking could impale him with it's shadow spikes.

"Prof, Sniper. I need help here!" Rocky called out his Poison team.

The Shadow Nidoking swung it's tail, only to be met by Professor Needles swinging his tail and clashing with his opponent. In theory it should have been an even fight, but somehow the shadow Pokemon was able to overpower Professor.

Despite a spirited defence, the shadow Pokemon's ferocity was too much and Professor succumbed to his wounds.

Seeing his advantage, sniper shot in from the side and crunched his fangs into the Shadow Nidoking's neck. The Shadow Nidoking fainted, but Sniper jumped back shaking his head, as if he had tasted something horrible.

Rocky looked over at Jacob. "Don't be a martyr! Get up, get out of here! Come on!" He grabbed jacob's arm to pull him out of danger, but before he could move a stange burst of shadowy spores hit Sniper. The Arbok hissed in pain and turned to lash out at the source of the spores. He got a few stikes in but the shadow spores did there job and knocked the Arbok out.

Rocky called back his two knocked out Pokemon and looked at the shadow abominations surrounding him.

"Uh... guys, we could use some help here, really quick!" he called to the trainers behind him.

*Holy cow alot happened!*

Once Jacob and Meg got the grunts occupied, Rocky let out his Hippotas to guide them through the huge sandstorm that was raging, Rocky followed the huge hippotas and Brandon followed Rocky. Soon thry reached the crates and Brandon helped Rocky move them. Right as they were getting ready to leave, the sandstorm cleared, there were hundrends of Rocket grunts around them, seemly very unhappy about them moving their crates. Brandon knew they couldn't neat that many and battling was almost pointless except to knock out his pokemon. Therefore when Rocky shouted run, Brandon was very much in agreement, he turned and ran as tast as he could away from the area, after a few moments, however, he felt himself being pulled by an invisible and irresistable force. The next thing Brandon knew, he had been transported somewhere else, the rest of the group was there. There seemed to be some shadow pokemon, the group would need to battle. Skipper, Mankey and Marshtomp were still beside him, but they would need more help. Brandon released every last one of his pokemon. They formed their circle and Skipper and Marshtomp began forming a battle plan. This was not going to be pretty for his pokemon, he could tell this already. Brandon asked his pokemon if they were ready, they nodded. Then with that, a dark pokemon attacked them and the team attacked the pokemon back in defense.

After the dark pokemon fainted, Brandon knew he needed flee the area, another dark pokemon attack and his team was done for. As the battles by Meghan and Jacob were winding down, Brandon told his pokemon "Great job guys, lets get a safe distance from these Dark pokemon if we can, keep formation if you keep". Then he began to fast walk as far away from the area as he could without risking losing sight of the group. From the safe distance he watched the fighting wind down and Rocky and a couple others taking down Dark pokemon after dark pokemon. All to save a couple grunts.

*No fair, everyone else who come across shadow pokemon until now had the option to catch it after battling, but me and Rocky's shadow pokemon aren't catchable, not fair!*

Alice struggled to help Misty out of the gym. Once they got outside, Misty seemed to recover enough to wake up. "...He has come for us...Run.." she said faintly. She seemed to be confused.

"It's okay, he's gone..." Alice replied.

" I failed to save Cerulean City." Misty said sadly.

The city was indeed in ruins. Alice could hear screams nearby. She thought immediately of her friends. "We have to find the others!" she said to Rose and Misty. She began walking toward the voices.

"Do you know what that man... thing... was?" Alice asked Misty. "What was he doing at the gym?" Alice felt it was important to find out as much as possible about what they were up against.
