The van screeched to a halt when Alice said the name Rose...

Everyone seemed to freak out. Alice couldn't tell what was going on until one of them said "Please dont bring up the Dark Witch Rose. Rose is responsible for many lives being lost in the last six months since she took over."

"Six months?!" Alice exclaimed. "Dark witch?" she frowned. "That must be someone else. Our friend is just a trainer, like us, she would never hurt anyone." It couldn't really be Rose, could it? No way, Alice thought. But Rose had a connection to Dredd, didn't she? Could he have brainwashed her somehow? No... Rose was the gentlest of all of them. There was no way she could be corrupted. Alice worried about Rose sometimes, even though she had proven herself more than capable. Having to rely on a Pokemon to see would be pretty difficult. She hoped that Rose still had Amirah, unlike the rest of them whose Pokemon seemed to have gone missing... Alice looked at the rest of the group. Did they believe that Rose could be involved?

"Wait! What about our Pokemon?!" Alice said suddenly. She couldn't believe she had forgotten. "All of our Pokemon are missing," she said. "Do you know where they could be?" she asked worriedly. She hoped they weren't back at the jail.

"Now you mentioned someone you called Dredd...was he one of the witches generals?" the nurse asked.

"He's the guy who must be doing all this," Alice said seriously. "Not this witch. He's the real bad guy! And incredibly powerful! He... he's a shadow monster." She didn't want to give Max's identity away, it seemed irrelevant.

"The refuge camps are spread out all over. We can check with our contacts when we get back to the base," one of the other people spoke up.

"Thank you so much!" Alice said, but she didn't feel much better. She hoped Rocky was okay.

If only Meg was here... Alice thought. Meg would know what to do.
