Search (29) Dern's Delicatessen
Upon arriving at Dern's Delicatessen at high noon, you see that the small sandwich, wrap, and salad shop seems to be pretty old and hasn't gotten the renovations it really should have gotten years ago. Some of the walls are cracked and crumbling, the window glass seems a little dirty, some of the wooden frames have also cracked and splintered, and a few of the metal fixtures have been worn down. Though it's not crumbling to the ground, it could use some tender loving care before it gets to that point.
You step inside and it seems the deli doesn't do badly, but more than half of the rickety chairs and tables are empty at a time when it's lunch and there should be more Pokémon here. It also seems pretty quiet inside and the only conversations of the few customers that are there are murmurs and whispers. You wonder if the situation around town with the Stalkers has caused it to be like this or if this kind of scene is just the way things have always been.
The food isn't bad. Not the best you've ever seen and tasted and the salad you buy might not be the freshest thing you've ever eaten, but it's good enough. Had there been more available options around town, you probably believe this place might not have lasted with more competition, but it is what it is.
You search around the rest of the dining area, the bathrooms, and the kitchen, but nothing really seems to raise any alarms besides a little age to the building itself. Even Dern's apartment upstairs doesn't seem that ordinary. You see that Dern seems to keep a lot of music albums and science fiction novels in his bedroom, but he also has an unusual fascination for magic tricks. He has a few books on them as well and it seems like he has some of the materials laying around for them. It seems odd for a Vileplume to have that kind of fascination, but it's possible.
His brother Sten the Bellossom also has a room up here on the second floor. Unlike his brother, he seems to be more into soccer games and has some fan gear for a team called the Warriors. You also find out from searching through his desk and finding investigation and police records that Sten seems to be a detective working at the Southwarren Police Station, a detail that might be worth pursuing. Beyond that, Sten also has a guitar and judging by the amounts of sheet music, he must be pretty good at playing it.
You then decide to head down and search around the rest of the building. Nothing too significant catches your eyes at first, but then around the back of the building, you spot some strange graffiti that looks like it was spray-painted in black:
Message =The Wall Warning= has been noted in the Team Records.
You're not sure if the warning is legitimate or is just a ruse, but you take note of it anyway.
Satisfied with your search, you decide to head back to base and report your findings.

-1 Evolution Stage Difference
You find Zell at Machine Depot #2, where it looks like he's awfully busy trying to handle orders and get things repaired as soon as possible. From an outside glance, it seems he's been having some trouble with an alternator that just hasn't been cooperating.
You approach him and ask for his attention, but it seems at a first place he's not really thrilled about being interrupted. Still, knowing his business thrives on serving customers and he doesn't want to gather a bad reputation, he hears you out.
"Who, Emissaries?" Zell asks, looking at you strangely. "I have no clue what that's supposed to mean. Emissaries of what?"
He seems to give up trying to understand what you mean by "Emissaries" and it doesn't look like he really wants to stick around for an explanation. Zell quickly comes across as a Pokémon that doesn't like small talk, especially with a busy schedule to fulfill.
"Look, if you want repairs, I can repair things, but right now it doesn't look like you have anything that needs fixing," he tells you hastily. "I also hope you have money, because if not, then I can't help you. That said, I need to get back to work."
He then turns back to trying to repair the alternator. From the looks of things, it may be another few hours before he has it up and running again, but even if that gives him some extra time, you're not sure if he'd still be willing to lend a hand for free...
