I get that it's not the most sound theory but I don't want to discount Game Freak. It's very possible they did think that far ahead, or retconned it. After all, it's obvious they've been planning USUM since the development of XY, so why not have it go further back?
Shoot, now I want an Ultra-beast based PMD game. Let's travel through those wormholes as a pokemon yeah?

Portals seem a very dangerous mode of travel. I wonder what kind of risks you get by going through hoopa's portal rings.
