Journalist Shows How Much Pokémon Has Changed

Journalist Change Pokemoon
Imagine yourself as a small child in late 1990s America. Pokémon was all the rage. It was the talk of the town. It was everywhere. And yes, I mean everywhere. From the news, to your school, to afternoon TV, Pokémon was a staple of so many childhoods around the world.

Now fast forward to 2015. Pokémon still holds its own little place in pop culture, though it has become something more accepted than talked about these days. However, there are still many, many fans of the phenomenon, but it has changed since you were a kid. Apparently more drastically than some people realize, according to Jason Koebler from Mashable, who was all up in the TCG as a kid. He has recently covered this year’s Worlds competition in Boston. While Jason was there, he decided to see how he would fair against today’s competitors and entered a few competitions to test his skills. You can read the results here.
