Fans have been waiting years to do this legitimately.
The newest update to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl is here. Version 1.3.0 was released on March 15 2022. With this update we got ways to obtain Darkrai and Arceus. The Global Wonder Station is also now open for all player around the world to use for your trading pleasure.
Darkrai Details
A Mystery Gift will be available during a very specific time. Receive the Member Card via Mystery gift from March 31 (11:24PM PT / Apr 1 6:24AM UTC) to April 30 (1:28PM PT / 8:28PM UTC) within Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The Member Card will grant you access to Darkrai.
But why the oddly specific times? The start and end times align perfectly with the appearance of new moons. There must be an astronomy fanatic working there.
Arceus Details
This one has a few steps to complete before you can actually go about catching Arceus.
Firstly, players must have obtained the National Dex in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Secondly, you will need a save file for Legends: Arceus, with all main missions complete. That’s right, you need to catch Arceus in Legends, before being granted the opportunity to catch it in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
If you have both of these criteria fulfilled, you will receive the Azure Flute in your bedroom, allowing you to catch Arceus!
Why is this is such a big deal? This is the first time in seven years where you are able to obtain a legit Shiny Arceus. The last time this was possible was part of a movie distribution gift where you had a 1/19 chance of Arceus being Shiny.
Shaymin Details
Before logging in to claim your Member Card, be sure to check in before Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 7:59 a.m. (PDT) to receive Oak’s Letter. You’ll need this if you want to get your hands on Shaymin. This distribution will not be around forever so get it before you forget.
