Disney XD is the new home for the Pokémon anime in the US after a multiyear animation distribution deal was reached between the network and the Pokémon Company International. Disney XD will air Pokémon’s 20th season through its many platforms along with much of Pokémon’s animation library, including 19 previous seasons with over 900 episodes and 15 movies.

The upcoming season of the Pokémon anime, premiering on Disney XD in early 2017, is called Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon. Disney XD will also air the newest feature-length animated film, Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel, on Monday, December 5th. Fans will also get a look at the upcoming anime season on that day with the debut of the first two episodes.

The Pokémon anime currently airs on Disney XD in Europe. More air dates for Pokémon on Disney XD in the US will be announced at a later date. In the meantime watch the trailers for the new season of the Pokémon anime and Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel below.
