January is going to be a big month for the Pokemon anime. Cartoon Network is going to debut a new Pokemon animated feature every Saturday this month to lead up to the premiere of Pokemon the Series: XY.
It all starts on Saturday, January 4th at 8:30AM Eastern with Pokemon: The First Movie. This movie as been digitally remastered for your viewing pleasure. Join Ash, Misty and Brook as they come face to face with Mewtwo.
Then on Saturday, January 11th at 8:30AM Eastern features a double feature. First will be the Black and White Special, Pokémon: Mewtwo—Prologue to Awakening. This special features Mewtwo meeting with Virgil to battle a villainous foe. Once the special is finished, Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened will air at 9:00AM.
Lastly, the premiere of Ash and Pikachu’s new adventures in Kalos airs on January 18th at 8:30AM Eastern. Pokemon the Series: XY will features Ash and friends journey in the Kalos region to conquer the Kalos League.
