Let’s get the mood going right with a remix of “Escape through the Snow”—a theme from the original Pokémon mystery Dungeon game. Tootlerocks1 takes this haunting melody and captures its quiet desperation just right. Listening to it takes me back to those blizzard-ridden hills, trudging through the snow with my partner Pokémon as we tried to escape that death sentence. Ah, the memories…
Let’s lighten the mood now with another snowy theme, this one coming once again from HappyDragonite. Snowpoint City was one of my favorite themes from Diamond and Pearl, making that area one of my favorites in Sinnoh. There was just something enchanting about watching the snow fall peacefully around you as this simple but magical theme played in the background. HappyDragonite manages to retain that quiet beauty in this wonderful reorchestration.
I hope you’re not too tired of Christmas music by now, but I absolutely love what GlitchxCity has done with this next jam! I didn’t think it was possible, but they took your traditional Christmas hymns and blended them perfectly with Pokémon themes—there’s a combination of Lance/Red’s theme with Carol of the Bells, Colress’ themes, God rest ye Merry Gentlemen… and… Song of Storms??? The list goes on, but I’ll let you listen to this amazing theme for yourself! I hope you enjoy!
