The Ditto Invasion versus the Electric Rodent Regime started from very humble beginnings. What started as a cute, lighthearted news article advertising new and upcoming Pokemon merch quickly derailed into something much more sinister.
PXR’s fate was sealed when fellow PXR member, Fate, made a post urging fellow members to quickly buy a Flareon Ditto plushie before our fellow admin, Suicune’s Fire (a Flareon-lover) supposedly buys them all. Suicune’s Fire denounced this statement, claiming that she would rather buy an actual Flareon plushie than a Ditto-pretending-to-be-a-Flareon plushie. Another fellow member, Tenacity, later came back and asked Suicune’s Fire what was wrong with Ditto. Suicune’s Fire came back with the answer, “IT DOESN’T HAVE CUTE EYES! O:<”
This would be the point of no return for PXR’s Ditto invasion.
Fate proceeded to edit Suicune’s Fire’s avatar to have black-beady eyes akin to Ditto, the Transform Pokemon. Many laughs were had at this, as she proceeded to make this image her new avatar.
Fate and Suicune’s Fire started taking down people one by one, posting images of edited versions of each thread responder’s avatars to look as if it were a Ditto in disguise. Fellow PXR members Tenacity, Trainer17, Lunar Latias, Speed-X, and even Rival Max began changing their avatars to fit the proposed changes, one at a time.
But with assimilation and conformity come the rebels. Several members whose avatar’s were proposed to be changed, including Neo Emolga, Noblejanobii, and AWA1997, resisted.
Trainer17 later proposed the idea of starting a group focusing on what has so far been labelled as the Ditto Takeover, calling it the “Supremacy of Transforming Dittos,” or the STDs. Several hours later, Speed-X made this dream come true by starting a group praising the lordship of Ditto and condemning Ditto’s dark counterpart, Zoroark. Speed-X even went so far as to create a new giveaway for her game, Pokemon Prism, to distribute free Ditto to players that have committed to the Ditto agenda.
Things were looking up for the STDs, until the rebels struck back. Pokemon Prism co-admin, Lightning Dash, created a counterpart giveaway to distribute free Zoroark in order to resist against the takeover. These Zoroark would be the only means for users to protect themselves from infection, until a familiar group came back into relevance.
The previous April Fools’ joke group, “Electric Rodent Regime” was brought back by PXR founder, HKim, to protect unsuspecting members from the Ditto Invasion. The Electric Rodent Regime, though its tactics are barbaric and warmonger-like, have been aiming to destroy the Supremacy of Transforming Dittos. The Supremacy, however, has been focusing on launching a counter-attack to send the ERR back into obscurity as it should have a long, long time ago.
