Artist Spotlight: More Sword & Shield Art

Check out what the artists on PXR have been up to!

With Sword and Shield’s release being only two weeks away, we thought it would only be fair to do another artist feature of various Sword and Shield artworks from the residents on Pokémon Crossroads! The new reveals like Galarian Ponyta and Sirfetch’d, as well as the artist event known as Inktober, have really inspired artists like Arrow-Jolteon to create more Sword & Shield themed pieces like the one above, featuring Yamper! So let’s see what everyone has done to channel that new inspiration!

Arrow-Jolteon

Galarian Ponyta has been one of the most popular new pokemon to come out of this generation. While it may not be a fairy type, it sure looks and parties like one! Glad to see Arrow-Jolteon gave the lil guy a few friends to party with.

With the reveal that Alcreamie actually has many different forms, it raised the question of how these different variants came to be. Arrow-Jolteon seems to think this is the likely answer we’ve been seeking.

Neo Emolga

As part of his quest to draw pokemon he wasn’t familiar with for Inktober, so one of the first pokemon he decided to do was the newest fire starter, Scorbunny! Who can say no to that adorable face?

And catching wind of the pony trend, for the theme “Enchanted”, Neo Emolga decided to do the one the only Galarian Ponyta!

NobleJanobii

After Farfetch’d finally got the evolution it has long deserved, NobleJanobii decided the best way to celebrate was to depict its elegant new evolution the Galarian Wild Area.

It’s no secret that NobleJanobii adores ghost types, and with this little guy in the running for her favorite pokemon from Gen 8 thus far, it was only a matter of time before she drew it at a proper tea party.

Roo

The colors used in this traditional piece really bring out the elegance that Galarian Ponyta exemplifies in its new form. While its expression only enhances the cuteness of this new form!

But Roo wasn’t done yet with the traditional Galarian Ponyta artwork. Wanting to max out this pokemon’s cuteness, Roo opted to have this little guy curl into a ball, the perfect equation for maximum adorableness!
