Christmas in Unova by arkeis-pokemon
Who doesn’t love legendaries? Who doesn’t love Christmas? When you put them together you’ve got something great brewing! This painting was done by arkeis-Pokemon and submitted to deviantArt. It is appropriately titled “Christmas in Unova and features the region’s legendaries as Christmas ornaments. Can you say adorable? The Pokémon might be ornaments but they’ve got some life to them! Check our their cute expressions. Past the subjects though we have got some fine paint strokes depicting a beautiful pine tree. The highlights and shadows used to texture it are perfect and it’s a good reminder that a good background can help cement an image and bring it all together. I hope you enjoyed this festive image.
An AU where there are pokemon now. by KingNeroche
It’s always a delight to find art that depicts a trainer and their party of Pokémon. This particular one caught my interest due to the art style as it’s essentially a comic line art with minimal amounts of highlighting and shadows introduced. The Pokémon featured it in are no doubt enjoyable to look at as they all have a bit of character and charm to them but it’s good to notice the smaller aspects that really define this artist. KingNeroche from deviantArt did a fantastic job of painting the fire on Charizard’s tail. One thing I love about line art is to find a brush change and see how well the artist does it. The drawing is simple in terms of colours but the imagination of the artist brings a lot of life to their characters. Who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by these fluffy companions? I sure would!

Need more Bulbasaur up in here! I really like the style of this one. It’s so square-ish and jagged and yet Bulbasaur looks perfect. The colours in the background are really nice and match Bulbasaur well. Bulbasaur’s expression is cute and calm and it looks very happy. A nice, bright piece of work!
Mega Beedrill is a pretty cool new Pokemon. It’s nice to see some old Pokemon that weren’t very popular getting a new update! This artwork emphasizes Mega Beedrill’s newest assets: its extra stingers! The background is ominous and dark, showing the forest with a scary red sky. The colours really make Beedrill’s yellow body stand out, and it doesn’t look happy! You might think twice about dismissing Beedrill from now on; I know I wouldn’t want to come across a swarm of these in Viridian Forest.

FreckleLemondade playing Pokemon SoulSilver for the first time and drawn her team out. I love the soft feel, even if it’s a digital art piece. I like the insertion of herself and the collection of her work in an artsy form
Pokemon Base 158~Lucario and Houndoom 1~ by Xbox-DS-Gameboy
Kamehameha? I love the angle of this piece, the solemn attitude of lucario, and the aggressive nature of houndoom, ready to attack. It’s digital art at it’s best, not overly done, and gets the story across with minimal distraction. But but, is that lens flare or dust? Either or, it’s great!

Here is a cute little piece that features Zinnia and May as they about to face off against the space terror, Deoxys. As mention before, this piece is rather cute thanks to the style of the artist. It makes the characters look rather adorable but also give a sense of dread with Deoxys in the background.

This compilation of pieces feature several action pieces of Pokemon in motion. You have Pokemon like Ho-oh flying in the air while Jirachi is gracefully floating. My personal favorite from this piece is Zoroark in a demented room filled with other potentially horrifying Pokemon.
