The whole scene was playing out nicely until two trainers called different attacks. The smokescreen messed up the stealthy sleep powder. The huge smokescreen exploded out in all direction quickly being picked up by the wind. The smokescreen made it to hard for Branonds pokemon to fight anything let alone fight the grunts. Alice's Almond was hit with the sleep powder as was on of the grunts. The others however were able avoid the sleeping Furret and run off to warn the others. Through the smoke screen the team could now here the grunts in the distance calling to Surge.

Stacy sighed
" Well that didnt go as planned..to many attacks at once. I hope we didnt hurt anyone!" She said calling Blastiose.

Stacy covered her eyes as the smoke came right towards her.
" Ty... call out Fanny! We need to clear the smoke with rapid spin.." She coughed

Ty fumbled around his belt keeping his head low.
"Yeah...why didnt I think of that." he said reaching for Fanny's ball."

He found the ball calling out the little Phanpy

The little girl Phanpy looked around in the haze.
"Phan?" She questioned

"Fanny, I need you to use rapid spin to clear out the smoke!" Ty said coughing.

After the little ground type cleared up the smoke the team could now see the aftermath. Two of the grunts were down. The girl grunt at run off and the fourth one was still pinned under the machine.

"Help me!" He called out.

A huge electric flash lit up the sky in the distance. Some kind of shiny flying Pokemon seemed to be in the middle of a huge electrical cloud.

"That looks like my friends!" Rocky said to Reese. "That is where we need to go!"

He looked up at the electrical display. "Although calling in and getting those electric shields your friend was talking about, might be a good first step!"

... time passes on the trip, the storm has faded.

"How much farther do you think it is Reese? That electric storm was a definite sign, and I am worried that one of my friends may have done something ... precipitous over there!"

The attacks didn't go as planned. They had managed to knock out two of the grunts, but the girl had run off , presumably to warn Surge. One of the grunts was still pinned under the machine. Alice revealed herself, returning the sleeping Almond to her Pokeball.

"I guess this is it," Alice said to the others. "Surge will probably be here soon. We either run or we go in and try and find Meg."

Alice looked at the grunt pinned under the machine. "Help me!" He called out.

Alice grabbed two Pokeballs from her pocket and sent out Aster and Fervor.

"Saur!" Aster grinned, stretching, happy to be outside again. Fervor punched the air a few times, looking around for the fight. Alice smiled at them both.

"Can you lift that machine enough to free that man?" Alice asked.

"Ivy saur!" Aster replied determinedly. He reached out his vines, wrapping them around the machine and began to tug it upwards. Meanwhile, Fervor used all of her strength to try to lift the machine with her arms.

Paprika stood by Alice's side, cheeks sparking. "I'll help you, but if you try anything funny, Paprika will be ready to Thunderwave you," she warned.

Alice nodded. She couldn't pass up the chance to find her Pokemon! What if they were in the crate the man was talking about?! "It's a deal," she replied. "As long as you don't go running back to Surge."

Once the man was out of the way, Alice instructed Fervor to punch the machine up. The Primeape went crazy, letting out her pent up frustration. Alice hoped there would be no fixing it now.

"The machine wasnt evil..people are evil." He said looking at it.

He looked at the team.

Stacy agreed with Alice choice and smiled
" What she said" Stacy said backing Alices choice

"Should at least tie him!" he grumbled turning away from this.

" There is a tree with a golden vine looped in the top of the trees. If you look up youll see an X. It seems easy to find but how often do you really look up?"

"Now then, I fufilled my end and Im going to get the heck out of it. I have now desire to tell Surge I failed him again. The guys a real jerk..." He grumbled running off.

"He will be waiting for you, if he has completely fled the area!"

"I agree with you, but you chose to work for an evil person," Alice said. "Surge stole hundreds of Pokemon and has done who knows what else. Choose someone better to work for next time."

Stacy and Ty agreed with Alice's choice, though Ty wanted to tie up the guy. Alice didn't think it would be much use. The man was clearly not that loyal to Surge.

" There is a tree with a golden vine looped in the top of the trees. If you look up youll see an X. It seems easy to find but how often do you really look up?" the man said before mentioning Surge would be waiting for them and fleeing.

"Alright guys, we have to find that golden vine," Alice said. "Let's try and be quick. We need to find it and try and get to Meg before Surge finds us!"

She returned Fervor and Aster and sent out Plume who scrambled up a nearby tree to start looking.

Before Rose released her Pokemon, others went to work. In the end, she didn't even need to do anything. The machine was dropped on one of the grunts, and the other three fled. The grunt told them that he would tell them where one of Surge's rare crates was if they helped him. Alice agreed to the deal. "Is this a good idea?" Rose questioned. She was far more interested in where Meghan was. Still though, she didn't particularly care either way.

"Wait!" Rose called out, but the grunt was already gone. "I wanted to ask him about Meghan..." Rose said quietly. "Where is she?" She questioned, speaking to no one in particular. She watched as Alice's Pokemon destroyed the machine. If Surge was using it, Rose knew that it was best if they broke it into as many pieces as possible.

Kyo didn't trust this mechanic guy. Not one bit. However, for whatever reason, he qualified as more trustworthy than she to the rest of the group. Quite the sucker punch if she had ever known one. Whatever. Let them hate her. She had Rose and Meghan at least. They trusted her. She wasn't all that concerned about the contents of this aforementioned crate but the others seemed to find it pretty important so Kyo just waited along silently as they discussed the less important matter at hand. Thankfully, Rose spoke up with the more important matter that required attention, Meghan. Rose beat Kyo to the punch about asking about her, but it mattered not. Rose had won Kyo's respect by asking so quickly.

"Yeah, I think Meghan is more important than a crate. I mean, we don't even know what the contents of the crate are and I get its important but… well Meghan could be facing Lt. Surge right now for all we know. Isn't her life worth more?" Kyo said quietly.

The plan had failed miserably, some other pokemon had done another move similar to smokescreen already and when the smokescreen collided with the other move, the results were not pretty, on top of this, an unexpected gust of wind came out of no where and picked up the smoke cloud Skipper had created so perfectly and blew it further down. Combined with the other move, the smoke screen was too thick and Brandon started coughing, he unzipped his hoodie, took it off and started to swing it around, trying to get rid of some of the smoke, Brandon looked at Skipper and Marshtomp and asked them in between coughs... "Guys.. *Cough* Do you think... *Cough* that you can... *cough* get rid.. *cough* of some of.. *cough* this smoke *cough*?" Skipper and Marshtomp looked at each other then proceeded to give the task there best shot, Skipper tried to use some of his powers to see if he could influence the smoke at all and move it away, Marshtomp started shooting little spurts of water through the smoke, it all seemed to have very minimal effect on the smoke, it appeared to be much harder to get rid of, then to create. Luckily Stacy and Ty used their pokemon to clear the smoke. Once done, they could see 3 of the grunts fleeing, Brandon wanted to go after them, but knew they would never catch them. Then Alice freed the final grunt who was pinned and negotiated his release for the whereabouts of one the crates of stolen pokemon. Ty wanted to tie up the guy though, normally Brandon would very much agree with him, but it wouldn't do any good, those other grunts probably have already told Surge about them and also the grunt didnt appear to be very loyal to Surge, for good reason. Then the others wanted to go for the crate, Rose and the new rocket girl Kyo, said they should focus on saving Meghan as she might be battling him roght now. Brandon spoke up "She has already battled him and his grunts, I believe the destruction of the machine and this area made this clear, she probably put up a hell of a fight from the looks of it, but she has probably been captured already and if we find surge we find her I am sure. Meg can handle her own, she has gotten out of worse predicaments with less, however, I do believe we need to find surge immediatelly and take care of him before he flees or plans an ambush and gets the upper hand, we can always come back for the crate, it has probably been there for abit and I reckon it will stay there safely for a bit longer, it should still be there when we get back. I believe we need to go right now, find Surge and his remaining goons and either handle him ourselves or atleast hold em down and ensure he doesnt get away until reinforcements arrive, I understand if none of you would be willing to battle him right now for the sake of your pokemons well being, but me and my pokemon will happily battle him and kick his military hiny back in line, I have the team I made to battle his gym with, my current pokemon are trained, strong and smart enough to either beat Surge or give him a fight he will remmeber for a long time, not to mention the type advantages. Come on guys, please, let us go find surge and deal with him before he tries anything and then once he is dealt with and reinforcements have arrived, then we come back for the crate. He have been through too much, come too far and too close to let him get away or else ambush us now, we need to find that bully and give him a taste of his own medicine. What do you say?"

Brandon hoped everyone would agree, because, if Surge got away or they opened this crate and 4 of Surge's goons and Surge himself ambushed and attacked them, he would not be happy and the mission would have then failed. They needed to find that bully so that Brandon and his pokemon could teach him a lesson, that bullying just isnt cool and that even bullies can be outmatched and over powered by someone just as mighty or if not more so. With his pokemon and everyone in the group's pokemon verusing him and his goons, he just doesnt have a chance. He hopes the others would agree so they could find him and handle him for good.
