The mention of a thief was a raw topic for Rocky. The trainers had only just got their stolen Pokemon back, he didn't want to lose his Pokemon again. He reached down and stroked Rusty's head as she stood by his side.

Alice asked about the fossils and Rose asked about the gem. Rocky was interested to hear about the gem, it sounded precious and was therefore much more interesting than a bunch of old bones.

"Thankyou for the warning, sir. We will indeed be on the lookout for any vagabonds who seek to practice their felonious trade on us. "

"Where and when is the gem being revealed?" Rose said suddenly.

Alice looked at Rose. She seemed really worried. She wondered what Rose had been through on the SS Anne. She still hadn't had a chance to talk to her about it. But the gem must be really dangerous if she was so concerned...

Alice frowned. She really hoped to track down those fossils, but if they had to go right for the gem, then so be it.

"Thankyou for the warning, sir. We will indeed be on the lookout for any vagabonds who seek to practice their felonious trade on us. " Rocky said politely.

Alice looked at the troupe of Pokemon following them and checked on the egg in her bag. She hoped they were close to the Pokemon Center. If there were thieves about, she didn't think it was a good idea to have all these Pokemon out in the open, even if it was fossils the thieves were after.

Soon the rest of the group was up and a little while later, they began to head out. Brandon packed up his stuff and told his pokemon to prepared to head out. Soon the group set out, Brandon followed towards the rear of the group, his pokemon followed. After awhile they came across an old man, who warned them of some kind of danger ahead. Brandon couldn't help but silently chuckle, after all they had been through and all the dangerous things and events they have been through, surely whatever lie ahead could not possibly be ANYMORE dangerous then what they had been through in their relatively short but dangerous journey. The old man's warning was well intended he knew, but Brandon was sure they would be able to make through whatever dangers may lie ahead. When the old man explained that the danger was fossil and gem thiefs, he was 100% confident that they were in no immediate danger and that what was ahead, they would be able to deal with. First off, they had no fossils or gems, atleast none worth much of anything and if those thiefs DID try to attack them or steal anything from the group, they would be swiftly prevented and dealt with by their pokemon. Afterall, between everyone in the group, they had atleast 4 or 5 Charizards, including Skipper, who would rather faint then let any thief, threat or danger anywhere near his trainer or Brandon's team or even anyone in the group. Aside from all their Charizards, they had a ton of other fully evolved pokemon at their side who would and could fight off or try to fight off any threat, until the end. Brandon was confident they would be fine, so Brandon stayed at the back of the group and waited for the group to decide what the next move would be, whatever it was, he was ready for it and his pokemon were ready for it, he has gone through hell and back, his pokemon have gone to hell and back and the group had gone to hell and back and now he had even stronger pokemon then he did in those times.

Brandon waited silently and patiently for the group to proceed.

"What exactly is the Inquisitor Gem?" Alice asked

The man smiled delighted to talk about them.
" Inquisitor Gems..is a broad term for a gem that is very powerful." He smiled

" You see the Inquisitor Gem use to just be single Gem. This gems power was said to be unrivaled. However when news of a power gem came out there were many people claiming to have the Inquisitor Gem in there possession. So they gathered up all the people claiming to have one of these gems and what do you know..it turns out for the most part they all did have the same Gem. The Inquisitor Gem turned out to be a set of 19 gems that when linked together would create something of such power it could give the holder the power of the gods." the man paused pulling out an old book.

"This is from the Johto archives and it speaks vaguely about an item called the Arceus Stone. There is more to that but thats for another day...however the stone itself was said to be destroyed by the gods because of its powers and the broken piece of this stone scattered the earth. " He paused again

" The one on display is said to be the most dangerous of the set." he said wiping off his forehead.

"Not to many people know about these Gems. Its very difficult to find information on them. Its not like a secret but its also not something that is ever really talked about. Especially after that awful business on the S.S. Anne. The Yellow Gem was on that ship and it was called the psychic gem or the greed gem because it had the ability to boost psychic energy but made those who touched it want more and more. I truly hope no one tried to harm the gem or it fell into the wrong hands." He said straying off.

"Where and when is the gem being revealed?" Rose asked

" Well Im here on Nine Island showing off some of fossils. The exhibit ended yesterday and will be moving over to One Island. One Island has the Fossil deposit in Kanto. Its much bigger than even Pewter City. The Inquisitor Gen will be on display there starting tomorrow. Seeing this one is a must if you are a collector or just love to see items with great power. Some say the pale olive color of the Dark Gem can influence even the purist soul. They call the Dark Gem the Entice Gem because of how it can influence and corrupt a persons mind." The man spoke up starting to get ready to leave.

" There is a fairy that can take you One Island. You should go see it. I must start to head on file a police report. Hopefully the can find this criminal before he escapes the island." he said slowly walking back towards pokemon center.

"Thankyou for the warning, sir. We will indeed be on the lookout for any vagabonds who seek to practice their felonious trade on us. " Rocky said politely

"Thank you sir." Meghan said.
" If see anyone acting suspicious will be careful."

Meghan listened carefully to the store.
" These Inquisitor Gems what do we know about them. I feel like Im missing out on something" She said as the team continued walking.

Who had this old man come in contact with? why where they on Gem if the others were on One island? These were all questions to think about. On top of that we now had more information on the Inquisitor Gems and with Rose's last encounter with one destroyed a ship what would this next Gem do? The team could only keep moving forward. Until they finally reached Gem City. There they could finally get the pokemon following them back to the trainers and check on the eggs.

Walking back into the beautiful streets of Gem City the group noticed the activity had died down. It seems as if over night many of the passengers of the S.S. Anne had found rides off the island.

The gems sounded a bit freaky to Alice. Like some kind of strange witchcraft. Nonetheless, she listened carefully. It seemed these gems would impact their journey whether they liked it or not, and Alice knew knowledge was a weapon.

As they bid the man farewell, Meg wondered aloud about the gems, but Alice's mind was on the fossil deposits on One Island. So far she had seen no sign of Kanto's fossil Pokemon. Could this be her chance to finally see them?

When they reached the edge of Gem City, Alice returned all her Pokemon besides Aster. The Ivysaur had needed a break, so she was carrying the Tirtouga again. The Shiny Bulbasaur stayed close to Aster as usual, but Alice had managed to pat her a few times now. She seemed to be becoming more comfortable around Alice.

Alice was glad to be back in Gem City. It was a beautiful place and was now rather quiet. She looked forward to reaching the Pokemon Center and having a chance to relax after the long day of walking. She stroked the Tirtouga's tough shell. It was a privilege to observe a fossil Pokemon up close. It was amazing to think that Tirtouga had gone extinct millions of years ago and was only now returning to the planet.

The man continued explaining about the inquisitor gem. Rose had suspected that more than one inquisitor gem must exist. She was right. The man left shortly after. "These Inquisitor Gems what do we know about them. I feel like I'm missing out on something" Meghan said. Rose remained silent for the time being, but she realized that she had information that the others needed to know. She spoke up as they headed back into Gem City.

"Um..." She began awkwardly. "There are some things I didn't say last night...About the gem on the S.S Annie... I'm not sure how much you all know or don't know, I had originally just assumed that you all knew, but... I kind of destroyed it." She explained. "That gem was the reason that Dredd found the ship. Will tried to use the gem, and Dredd sensed the power that it was giving off." She continued, clearly trying to avoid saying exactly what had happened. "If he had kept that gem, he could have become unstoppable. If... If someone were to use this other inquisitor gem, the exact same thing could happen." She hypothesized. She didn't want to directly assert that they go after the gem, but she felt strongly that they should.

Rocky looked around and saw the trapping of civilisation. "Once we get these Pokemon to the Pokemon center, I am going shopping! I need a new outfit."

"Destroyed one...?" Meghan paused a little concerned.

"We need to find out everything we can about these gems. If these gems are as strong your saying. We dont know what they could have done to you, Rose. You are a pyschic with abilities that seem to be growing faster than any psychic Ive ever heard of." Meghan said walking over to Rose.
"I just dont want you get hurt."

The team continued into the Gem City. There they made there way back to the pokemon center where they dropped off the pokemon they were transporting. ( For the time being) Afterwords they decided to do some shopping but agreed to meet back up at the pokemon center by 9 for dinner.

Meghan looked at the others.
" Lets take some time to explore. If you want to check out a story thats fine just please be back by 9."

Most of the team had to go into the Pokemart to exchange the battery on there Poketech as the Surge battle had wiped them out. After that however they were free to explore.

Meghan found a table in the Pokemon Center and sat down. She called out her team and let them roam around the center. With her bag open she pulled out the sheet of paper she had gotten from the PI. She jotted down whatever information could help her find this other warehouse.

Rocky delivered the lost Pokemon to the Pokemon center and then headed to the shops. He headed into a clothing store, hoping to find a nice new suit, but found that there wan't much call for high fashion on this island, so he had to make do with what he coudl find.

He toured through the restaurant district and tried a few delicacies. Speedy also tried a few delicacies, which Rocky both apologised and paid for! He checked out the stone emporium hoping to trade in his voucher but found it still closed. Next he checked out the local Pokemon accessories store and gave them his family's business card. They had a decent collection but one thing that caught his eye was a Metal coat. He had been looking for one of these for quite some time. He asked the store clerk how much it was. He checked out the stone emporium hoping to trade in his voucher but found it still closed.

Alice knew she should be worried about the gems but she couldn't help but be excited about seeing fossils. She headed into the Pokemon Center with Aster by her side, to return the Tirtouga and Shiny Bulbasaur. Both Aster and the Bulbasaur looked at her sadly as she tried to drop the Pokemon off.

"I'm sorry," she said, biting her lip. She didn't want to separate the two, but what choice did she have?

"I have to go and grab some things from the shops. If you want, you can wait here with Bulbasaur," Alice said to Aster.

"Saur!" Aster agreed happily.

"Just make sure you keep out of trouble," she warned, but she was smiling.

As she headed back outside, she stopped by the Pokemart to get a new battery for her Poketech. The darn thing had been more trouble than it was worth so far. She thought briefly about the strange people who had given it to her.

As she window-shopped she passed the stone emporium but it was closed. Paprika seemed like she would be ready to evolve soon and Alice wanted to get a Thunderstone for when the time was right. [Event claim thread for Thunderstone]
