Pokemon GO EX Raids Released Worldwide!

Mewtwo may soon be coming to a gym near you!

The first set of exclusive “EX” raid tests for Pokmemon GO were held in major US and Japanese cities, and now the fun is coming to the rest of the world. More EX raid passes were given out in the least couple of days, with locations including Australia, Europe, Malaysia, India, Canada and South America. Unlike the first set of EX raids, these raids are not limited to Sponsored Gyms.

The new EX raids will give some lucky trainers, who have recently completed a raid at the chosen Gym, the chance to battle and catch Mewtwo. Interestingly, while the previous EX raids were in major cities, most of the new raids are in more suburban or rural areas. It seems Niantic wants to figure out just how well these EX raids can work outside of city centres. If you got a raid pass, it’s time to power up those Dark and Bug type Pokemon!

Pokemon GO’s Equinox event is also still going and has been extended until October 3rd at 1pm PT in light of login issues over the last couple of days. Players can currently earn double Stardust for catching, hatching and feeding berries, and will also receive triple XP for new Pokedex registrations. Rare Pokemon including Chansey, Mareep and Larvitar can also be found in 2km eggs during the event. Get walking!
