State Championships have finally concluded and now trainers are eyeing Spring Regionals. These tournaments will be in the Expanded format and I am hoping to help give you ideas on what to play. Maybe I could help you break into Expanded and wash away the competition with this match from PokeDecks featuring M Gyarados EX.
The match we are featuring from PokeDeck involves using M Gyarados EX in an interesting way. Instead of getting M Gyarados EX out the traditional way via Mega Evolving it instead brings out the big water brute by using Archie’s Ace in the Hole. This deck literally wants to blow up on turn one to get Blastoise on your bench by getting your hand down to one to use Archie’s. Then on turn two it wants to use Archie’s again to get M Gyarados EX on the bench. Once you do that then you can flood M Gyarados EX with Water Energy to use Blast Geyser for 200 damage. Keldeo EX is in the deck for Rush In-retreat tactics and as a back up attacker. You will see taht Keldeo EX makes a great attacker to get rid of low HP attackers. Meanwhile, M Gyarados EX is great to knock out those big HP Pokemon and wash them off the field.
