Get ready to get fired up! We have a match from Yellow Swellow featuring a card from Generations! This Pokemon may not be too hot in the video games but it could leave some scorch marks in the TCG scene. So join us as we feature Yellow Swellow and his burning hot Flareon EX deck in action!
Flareon EX was recently release in Generation in honor of Pokemon’s 20th anniversary. It has an ability called Flash Fire which allows you to move a Fire energy from one of your Pokemon onto Flareon EX once per turn. Flareon EX also has the attack Blaze Ball that does a base 50 damage plus 20 more for each Fire energy attached to Flareon EX. This could lead to some massive damage if you have enough Fire energy on Flareon EX. What you are going to be seeing in the upcoming match is Yellow Swellow getting Flareon EX ready to go and hit huge numbers in only two turns. He does this by using Blacksmith and Battle Compressor to pull energy from the discard and attaching them to Flareon. There are also some tricky plays involving Max Elixir and Team Magma’s Camerupt to get Fire energy on the bench and using Flash Fire to draw them on to Flareon EX. All of this is done to get Flareon EX to hit huge numbers to burn up those big EX Pokemon.
