Yeah, I had to resort to tutoring also in order to pass a class. It's ridiculous. There's only one way to do it right and if you even just make a tiny little mistake during one of the many steps it takes to solve these equations, forget it, the whole thing is ruined.
My thing was the teachers that taught the class were SO BAD at explaining the HOW and the WHY things went from A to B and they went so fast that it was impossible to follow. Why did those numbers do that? How did you perform that operation? You didn't get those answers, they just went on to the next problem and assumed you were reading their minds. That's the thing that bugs me about it.
