Pokemon Day
Need a list of things going on because of Pokemon Day? We got you covered.

Today, February 27th, marks the 22nd anniversary for the Pokemon franchise. On this day, back in 1996 was when the first Pokemon games were release in Japan. These games would eventually introduce players to several new friends from Kanto and beyond in the form of Pokemon Red & Blue. Since then, Pokemon trainers have been growing older and younger as they start their Pokemon journey to discover who they are. Meanwhile, they have been making plenty of friends along the way.

Pokemon is going all out this year with plenty of things. If you are a fan of the buying, Pokemon GO, the anime or more then you will find something to do on this year’s Pokemon Day.

Pikachu Talk

Pikachu Talk
Pokemon fans with Amazon Alexa or Google Home enabled device can now talk to Pikachu by using Pikachu Talk. This feature allows Pokemon fans to talk to Pikachu ‘live’. You can ask Pikachu various of questions and he will reply back with different “Pika” phrases. You can read more about it by clicking here.

New Snapchat Lenses

Trainers who love to snap it up on Snapchat will receive new filters featuring the Kanto Starter Trio. Bulbasaur will lead the way by being release today on Snapchat as a filter. Trainers can add Bulbasaur and a crown of leaves to their pictures on Snapchat.

Charmander will be release later with Squirtle being release after.

Pokémon Center

Charizard Gallery
Pokemon Center will join in on the fun by giving trainers plenty to spend their money on. They will be doing this by expanding their Pokemon Gallery Figure collection with a brand new Charizard figure. This Charizard figure will be the first of Pokémon Gallery Figure DX collection. These DX Figures will be slightly larger and have Pokemon in even more dynamic poses. The Charizard DX Figure will feature the Pokemon using his signature Blast Burn attack.

Palkia and Dialga
Pokemon Center will also join in on the Year of Legendary by introducing a new pin collection. This pin collection will feature the Legendary Pokemon that will be given out each month. Starting off the line will be Dialga and Palkia.

You can see the pins above and how different they look compare to other pins. Trainers can expect to see more pins like this each month until November. Supplies will be limited.

Pokemon I CHOOSE YOU
Pokemon trailers who love to follow Ash and Pikachu’s adventures can now watch Pokemon: I Choose You for free! You can watch the movie for free for one week on the Pokemon TV app.

Pokémon GO

Pokemon GO pikachu
Pikachu is ready to party in Pokemon GO! Trainers in Pokemon GO can now capture a Pikachu wearing a special party hat in celebration of Pokemon’s 22nd anniversary. This Pikachu will know the move Present and award triple Stardust when captured. There has also been reports of this Pikachu being shiny. So keep an eye out for this party Pokemon!

You will have until February 28th at 1pm PST to capture this Pikachu.

FRLG Outfits
Pokemon GO is also celebrating with a throwback to the original trainers by allowing you to dress up as the Pokemon trainers from Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen.

You can now purchase avatar items to make your persona in Pokemon GO look like the male or female trainer from Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen. This will cost you quite a bit of Pokecoin but well worth it for these iconic outfits.

Hasttag Pokemon Day 2018
Pokemon trainers are being welcomed to use the hashtag #PokemonDay on social media to share stories and other great memories. Those who uses this hashtag may find their posts on the Pokemon Day hub which can be found by clicking here.
