Nationals have come and gone. Champions are now beginning to prepare their deck for Worlds. How about we take a look at a match from TylyrPlays. He is featuring an unusual deck that can be summed up in one word: Palkia!
This deck uses Palkia EX to do most of the damage while Deoxys EX is used to boost the power of Palkia EX‘s attacks while sponging damage. Palkia gets powered up and uses Strafe. This attack does 50 base damage. The damage can then be increased using Deoxys EX’s Power Connect to boost the power of all Team Plasma Pokemon by 10. This can be stacked by having more then one Deoxys EX in play. Attach a Muscle Band to Palkia EX to do an additional 20 damage. If there is a Muscle Band attacked to Palkia EX and two Deoxys EX on the bench then that is 90 damage on the opponent’s active Pokemon. Once that massive damage is done, Palkia retreats to the bench and Deoxys EX is place in the active. Thanks to Deoxys EX’s high HP, it will be difficult to knock out with a single attack from most Pokemon. Once it is your turn again, retreat Deoxys EX to the bench and do it all again.
