It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for Crossroads Comics!
This week we’re taking a look at Trick of the Night. Now, I’m normally not very informal with my reviews, but I want to convey how much I love this comic. I was introduced to it this past weekend and binged the entire thing in a night. The art is amazing, with really great looking Pokemon designs. I absolutely adore the appearances of the Zoroark and Arcanine in this story look. But on top of that, the story and worldbuilding are entirely unique. Unlike most of the nuzlockes and other Pokemon comics that are featured here, this world and story are not based on any games or playthroughs, which is part of what I like about this comic. It’s very rare for a comic in the Pokemon community to be entirely unique, with the only other comic coming to mind right away being The Stars Shine Bright. As a result, it’s a great comic to read if you want a break in routine. The story is already very interesting thus far and the worldbuilding even more so.
