A new update patch was release today for Pokemon X&Y on the eShop. Version 1.2 patch is to help prevent current WiFi exploits within the game. Below is the list of issues that this patch addresses:
- Updates an Internet Communication issue.
- Fixes an occasional bug concerning Trainer PR Video captions.
- Fixes an occasional bug that prevented Pokemon from learning new moves after evolving though Wonder Trade.
- Contains previous update for Lumiose City Glitch.
This update prevents the use of external programs such as Battle Analyzer and Instacheck. Battle Analyzer is known for allowing the user to know which moves the opponent will use next in a battle to gain an unfair advantage. Instacheck was mostly used to help hatch eggs containing shiny Pokemon. Both programs require the use of WiFi.
As of December 12, 2013, this patch is required to go online with Pokemon X&Y.
