Wrestling fans are in for a treat with this week’s Featured Match. We are going to take a look at a deck that features an attacker that uses a move that could be straight out from a wrestling match. It has an interesting strategy that involves a tag team of Pokemon. This week’s featured match spotlights the Skarmory/Greninja Deck aka THE UNDERTAKER!
The Undertaker’s main stars are Skarmory EX and Greninja. You will need to set up Greninja while Skarmory EX is out on the ring taking damage. Once Greninja is set up, you can discard Water energy to use Greninja’s Water Shuriken to pile on damage to your opponent’s Pokemon. Once enough damage is on the opponent’s active Pokemon then it is time for Skarmory EX to preform the finisher move: TAILSPIN PILEDRIVER!
There are also a few other techs in the deck that will help make setting up easier. A Propagation ability Exeggcute is in the deck to help make playing for Ultra Ball and Superior Energy Retrieval easier. A Plasma Klinglang line with Plasma Steel is included to give Skarmory EX an immunity to Pokemon EX attacks, Suicune with the Safeguard ability is there to do the same thing in case you don’t get Klinglang set up in time. Once you get everything set up, then getting knock outs on Pokemon will be easy. If you use Greninja’s Water Shukiken ability twice on a Pokemon EX then that will be just enough knock them out with a 120 damage TAILSPIN PILEDRIVER from Skarmory EX.
